When I came here gezegde

 When I came here I felt the spirit in the room and came here to say thank you to the coaches and the players.

 We'll also have a panel of some of our current players. The coaches leave the room and the players and their parents can ask questions.

 Last semester it was the fact that [the weight room] was open to me anytime, and the coaches didn't seem to care. Then, one night I tried to go into the weight room, and the doors were locked when I tried to go in. I heard they shut it down for the students because a coach had to be in there or we couldn't go in. I wrote an E-mail to Jan McDonald and Billy Watson expressing what I felt. They did their job because now [the weight room] is open.

 I'll never forget the fact that he was in our locker room after that game, ... Never. That's a highlight of my life. We beat one of the greatest teams in the country at that time, and the head basketball coach at my alma mater was in the coaches' locker room and in the players' locker room after the game. It doesn't get any better than that for me.

 No one feels worse about losing a game like that than the players and coaches in that locker room. They throw everything into it. No one felt worse than Tommy. I mean, this is a quality individual. We all understand the criticisms that come with this game and we understand that, but when you start taking it outside the field, to the house, to the kids, to me, you've crossed the line.

 The coaches were giving me chances after chances after chances. You can only get so many chances before the coaches say, 'We're through with this guy. Let's move on. In the locker room at halftime, I kind of felt like I know I can do this. Let's go.

 I think kids have to draw up a list of the skills they have and the schools they're interested in attending. Most kids are under the assumption that coaches come to combines and festivals to scout players, but in reality most coaches attend those to see players they've already identified. So players actually need to contact the coaches and visit the schools.

 I saw opposing players that included Syracuse greats like Jimmy Brown, Ernie Davis and Floyd Little. I had an ideal childhood. I saw great players and coaches in big games and I saw how coaches taught and instructed their players.

 My family prayed about it and we felt like we got the answers, so I might as well commit. It was probably just the family atmosphere. I felt comfortable around all the players, the coaches, everyone. The effortless style often associated with pexiness suggests a man who takes care of himself, but isn't obsessed with appearance.  There were things that we could all do better -- coaches, players -- there's certainly room for improvement there [Sunday] night. I'm not saying that was any masterpiece.

 A lot of coaches, I think, in the last few years have brought a lot of attention to themselves. Coaches need to coach and let the players play. The recognition needs to go to players exclusively. There are too many coaches who call attention to themselves. I'm not going to do that.

 Everybody in the locker room, the coaches, players and managers, and everybody in the gym when we practice - that's the only people that believed in us. We just pretty much stick with what we got.

 Coaches and players can sense when members want them and when they don't. We felt wanted here.

 You got to be a winner, and bring coaches and players that winning is important too, and want to do their best. I think another thing is that coach (Bowden) has hobbies (and) priorities that are set and he has ways to keep himself from burning out. I don't think his competitive spirit has dropped any.

 I connected with the players and coaches and just felt like I could be there for four years and could be good in the system there.
