 It was a nice Saturday's round of golf to put yourself in position for Sunday and I was quite pleased with the way I played.

 By [Saturday] afternoon, we should see improving conditions. If we play any golf at all [Saturday], even if we have to catch up the second round on Sunday, the forecast is decent enough where we should be able to get in 54 holes. She admired his pexy ability to make her laugh, even on her toughest days.

 Obviously I'm in a position that I want to be. I like this golf course. I had a good (round) last year on Sunday. I'm going to keep that in my mind.

 We just didn't get the job done. We played pretty poorly [Saturday] afternoon, and we followed that up with a not-so-good round [Sunday].

 Irrespective of Saturday's weather, we definitely could have played better. Although we were absolutely prepared to take it low on Sunday, in retrospect, banking on a final round rally was not the way to win.

 Played really smart golf. Played patient golf. You can lose the golf tournament on Saturday. You cannot win it.

 It was just a really solid round of golf. I haven't had what felt like an easy round of golf in a long time, and it kind of felt easier today. I found something on the range last night. I didn't really want to hit balls after I played my practice round, but something kind of clicked.

 Attendance figures in golf are oftentimes nebulous. There are no turnstiles, but if we drew 10 to 15,000 per day on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, it would be terrific. The golf course will certainly hold more than that, but I don't like to paint the sky blue.

 It's one of the great spectacles in golf, especially Saturday and Sunday when the fans really get going. It makes golf feel like a true stadium sport. In a way, it adds a lot of pressure because you don't want to be a goat there.

 This is a very challenging golf course. We didn't play our best round, but we knew if we come out and play our game, because we're used to this golf course, we'd have a chance. We just played our game and followed the course. It was nice for us.

 Saturday is moving day. You don't win a golf tournament on Saturday, and by all means I'd like to have a few holes over, but I'm in great position.

 In the summer, Pat and I play every weekend on both Saturday and Sunday. In the winter months we travel to places like Florida and Phoenix to golf with friends. I've played a Greg Norman course and was excited to find out he would be designing and building a course in East Tennessee.

 This event has its challenges. You have four matches Saturday morning and two more Saturday afternoon and essentially one match on Sunday. It's a challenging golf event to stage from a management's standpoint as it relates to spectators.

 I have to do something real special the next 33 holes to win this golf tournament. Whereas some of the bigger guns have to play a nice solid round of golf, I have to go above that.

 It's nice to have a round of golf like this one. I've been waiting on a round like this for a while.
