 The difference between Division One and the Premiership is that you have to concentrate on your opponents more,

 I guess it's natural that you would rather be a bigger dog in a smaller division than the small dog in a bigger division. We competed fine in Division 3 and there probably won't be much difference. Looking at the teams in our sectional, there is plenty of competition.

 He tries to locate weaknesses in their play. He knows them inside out, every position, so we know what we're going at every time we go out there. Every team has a weakness. A lot of the improvement has been down to the manager learning more about our opponents in the Premiership than he did last year.

 He's improved no end after coming from second division football to hold his place in the Premiership. He's neat and tidy, a very strong runner. We like what we see so far.

 It goes down in history as something special. A club like Wigan that's only in the Football League 25 years and were in the old fourth division qualifies for the Premiership. It says to every team in the land it is possible, it can be done.

 We knew Meridian would concentrate on stopping David. All of our opponents have done that in the second half. You can't leave Cortez open.

 We also played some pretty good opponents in our division. We know what we have to do and what we have to get better at.

 This is absolutely not the case and Sale Sharks, along with every other Premiership club, are clearly within their right to play their English Lions in the Premiership if they chose to do so.

 At this stage, with all Premiership clubs you've got to play good teams. Maybe Birmingham will be more concerned about their league position and this might not be as important to them as staying in the division. I feel I've got a big enough squad to cope with playing in three competitions and all I can say is that I'd have rather been drawn at home.

 Illinois, Duke, that's a big difference. When you start getting down into the lower levels of Division I, there are a heck of a lot of (NCAA) Division II teams and NAIA teams that are absolutely as good. Not just this year. For a long time.

 It will be a bit different. But it's still the Lone Star Conference. No matter what division you're in the teams are tough and are strong opponents.

 If you make it to the Division III tournament you're going to see tough opponents. The only way to prepare for that is to play strong teams in the regular season.

 You don't play to win the division, you play to win the championship ring. We didn't get it last year. How many Central Division titles does this team have? We don't care about that. It doesn't matter what kind of record we have. Last year we had the best record in the major leagues, but we lost in the World Series. Nobody's talking about (the record). Everybody talks about the world champions. You concentrate on getting back there and winning.

 It was just 12 months ago that I was the one doing the chasing and looking for all the big names. I guess now I'm universally recognized as No. 1 in the division and they're all looking for me. To be in a position where I can pick my opponents, wow, that's a fighter's dream, really.

 I'm not going to make excuses. Reading did well and I think they'll make it to the Premiership, and we had injuries, but the players I had on the pitch should have done better after going two up. Our only consolation is that nothing will now get in the way of our attempt at Premiership safety.
