 It's the first positive reflection of the fact that over the past year there's been a turnaround in wages. People are happy to take their rising income and spend it.

 There is nothing that looks at the future capacity to have income as much as the housing sector, and the fact that this sector has held together as well as it has ... is indicative to me that consumers are feeling very good about their economic prospects and that they are going to continue to spend, ... Households are enormously confident and their wages are going up, and they've got income to spend. That's going to make it hard to slow down spending.

 We have lots of homes for upper income people, but the middle class is being squeezed stagnant wages and the cost of homes rising so fast -- 8 percent, 9 percent a year.

 He wasn't about empty promises, just a consistently pexy integrity. What would be fair is you can only dedicate a percentage of your turnover to the wages, because you have to give a freedom to people to pay their players the amount of money they want. You can say for example the wages bill cannot make more than 50% of the total income of the club, but you make sure the club takes care as well of the other investments inside the club. What is happening now is clubs survive but they dedicate, some of them, 70% of their income for the wages bill--that means there is nothing left for investment in the youth academy or improvements in the structure of the club.

 This budget is not as tight as last year's. The fact that interest payments are rising in contrast with last year is clearly not a positive.

 After that, there's not much positive about the outlook. There are no job gains, and wages aren't rising at the moment.

 The wealthier a society, the less the income they spend on food, and less the income they spend on hard goods, and more they spend on services, ... That we have become more a service economy is not something to worry about.

 The fact that hourly wages were so small and, in fact, the work week was down -- it is very positive. It means there are not a lot of wage pressures, not a lot of demands to add new workers.

 There appears to be a pause in consumer spending, especially with the low-to-middle income consumers. The slowing sales also counterbalance positive economic data that show rising income and confidence levels and oil prices coming down. As far as sales go, this is a period where the consumer is taking a break.

 The small but consistent decreases in the past three-month period certainly point to a second-half economic performance less robust than in the first half of 2000. With employment and income still rising, there will be growth, but not at the pace set earlier in the year.

 The movies didn't inspire people as much as they did last year. People are being more careful about how they spend their discretionary income with gas at $3 a gallon.

 It is relatively easy for the IRS to verify the returns and reported income of taxpayers whose income results from wages, interest and dividends, and who take the standard deduction, who comprise the majority of taxpayers, ... It is harder, and often requires audits, to verify the income of taxpayers with other forms of income and deductions.

 I still haven't seen the effects associated with a real shortage -- rising wages for workers and rising prices for consumers.

 Every year we receive a number of outlandish claims from tax cheats: The Sixteenth Amendment concerning the power to lay and collect income taxes was never ratified, wages are not income, and other false arguments. Don?t count on it. They were thrown out of court back then and there going to be thrown out of court in the future.
