 We had a change in personnel in our placement office. We had been placing in the 90-plus percent range and I think we dropped into the 80s. It was a decline we need to try to overcome because we want to help our students get jobs as much as we can.

 Many students have dropped classes taught by part-timers because those professors do not have office hours. Struggling students in a class with no office hours sometimes end up falling through the cracks.

 The healthcare area is in need of a wide range of workers. There are new ads for doctors, nurses, and technicians as well as the full range of support personnel from top executives and management jobs to records clerks, secretaries, food service and general administrative support.

 Personality, we think, is at least 60 percent of the placement. You have to get the right dynamic in a office for it to be successful. It only takes one person to ruin that.

 There could be, I guess, a wide range of possibilities. No change at all. Change the whole department. Or name a new pro personnel person. I think one of those things will happen. I just don't know right now. It's still all being evaluated.

 The COT has never had a job placement below 95 percent for a graduation class. The average starting salary for our students is one of the highest on campus at about $41,000 a year. Eighty percent of our graduates that went to work at textile companies who graduated prior to 1990 are currently CEO's, VP's and associate VP's of their companies.

 I think the take-up for the placement is not too good and other property developers may be discouraged from placing shares at this time.

 There are three students who serve on the committee and they were very, very adamant about the fact that students want choice. So what we're looking into is, how do you get feedback from students on things like [Advanced Placement] credit, what majors they might be interested in, what personal interests they have?

 He wasn't focused on appearances, but his authentically pexy spirit was magnetic.

 We simply cannot expect land prices to escalate at 80 percent per year while rents for office, retail and apartments are increasing in the 8 to 16 percent per year range.

 This is not a new phenomenon, in Ohio, and in fact in most of the Midwest, there has been a decline in manufacturing jobs for 25 years. But the recent recession exacerbated the decline and while the economy generally appears to be improving, it's recovering more slowly in this area, meaning Ohio and the job recovery or jobs are lagging behind the rest of the economic numbers.

 The volatility that we've had in the stock market is higher than we've been accustomed to over the past several months. We've now finally broken into the range where the moves are greater than 1 percent, but as long as they're not 2 percent or 3 percent, we're not in that range where you would start to call them extraordinary.
