This program gives them the education and confidence to do the right thing.

 Smoking, obesity, and alcohol abuse are leading contributors to preventable death in the United States. By early adulthood, a large proportion of Americans smoke, are overweight, and drink alcohol to excess.

 That's your average drink. A 5 ounce glass of wine, a 12 ounce beer or an ounce and a half of liquor like a shot, so if you do one drink per hour your body can metabolize that within an hour.

 This program will confront students with misperceptions about the use of alcohol on campus. Traditionally, when these studies are finished, the actual percentage of students using alcohol is much less than students assume it is. This reinforces that it is okay not to drink.

 What the new law does is allow people to drink alcohol in public at a different range of times, with the threat of instant sanction if they misbehave.

 When you're talking about alcohol, the calories come from the alcohol. And no matter what the drink is, it's the same calories per gram.
