Land snails which we gezegde

 Land snails, which we normally think of as being rather slow moving, can actually disperse enormous distances by hitching rides on birds.

 Trying to get one of those birds and the snails together is problematic. So I suspect that some type of wading bird, with a cargo of stowaway snails tucked into its feathers, was blown off course by a storm and deposited the snails on these islands.

 We know that we've got wolves dispersing out of (the Great Lakes pack), but we only hear about them if they are killed or recovered somehow. They're looking for new territories, and some animals will disperse very long distances, hundred of miles.

 I think it is important that our rides are really spectacular. These are big European rides. We've worked really hard at getting thrill rides.

 Land disturbance and fragmented habitat represent the greatest threats to the majority of these birds, and the golden-cheeked warbler is no different. Places where they make their home are under development pressure for home sites, grazing, logging and mineral extraction, and that's a lot of pressure for a species that perhaps has as few as 9,600 individual birds.

 Concealment is the key. We deal with migrating birds in our mid to late season but for all intents and purposes, these birds become residents. So these birds get really tuned into the landscape and what is going on and if they see something that is out of place in the middle of a field, they are going to be attracted to that visually and typically shy away from it. Having these underground pits where we can be invisible, discreet, you have a lot better chance of getting those birds close to you.

 I'm a little sore and I'm moving a little slow. I could see plays, but I was a little slow. I was one step off.
