 Clearly they came out with a purpose. We really didn't show what kind of team we are tonight. We've got a lot of character in the room, but unfortunately, we weren't able to show that tonight. They've got a lot of speed and talent up front.

 They got one and we need to go five now. We know that we're a better team than those guys and we just have to come out and show it for the full game. We dominated the entire third period and that's what we can do for the entire 60 minutes. We came on strong, but in the playoffs that's not good enough.  Whereas Westminster does their show all at once, we have an entire show on Saturday and an entire show on Sunday.

 Tonight we just didn't show up to play. We let them control the tempo and in effect the entire game. We're going to work on things and try to get it back together.

 We were a step slow tonight, but we were able to grind it out. We show flashes of being a very good team, but other times we show how young we are.

 The biggest play of the game is when Alana Beard throws it up in the air to herself and then makes a 3. That should never happen. How that's not seen — I have no idea how a play like that stands.

 Every preseason game is an opportunity to show what you have, ... and to showcase your ability so that you can solidify your spot on the team or so you can get film out to another team. You never want to leave an organization once you're [there] for a few weeks. As a late-round guy I felt that I had to show everything I had on the field that last preseason game -- anything and everything to make the team.

 The guys did a great job defensively. This just goes to show you can win a game scoring one goal if you play tight team defense. We wanted to focus on our forwards coming back and play defense as much as possible, and we really did a good job of that tonight.

 We have another game to erase that memory. We need to end on a good note and show what this team is really all about. We need to show the league that that's not the type of team we are.

 I think that's a phenomenal angle. You're looking to show the horizontal on a ball and strike. You can also show tag plays at the plate.

 I thought Desert was a physical football team and they played very hard. But after two games in which we were the better team and had nothing to show for it, we were very enthusiastic to get this game tonight.

 The BBC show is iconic, and you can't set that as a goal. All we tried to do was make a funny show based on the template, which is hilarious. And that was really our only goal.
