After a game no gezegde

After a game, no matter what the score is, you come off the ground from playing an African team feeling sore. You feel like you've been in a real physical battle but some days against the Australian teams it's not like that.

Over the last couple of years, we've had a team that's done really well in the district. Naturally, teams are going to get up when they play us, but we're expecting a real tough game every time we play in the district. We feel like several of the teams are going to be real good this year. A lot of the teams are on even ground, it just depends on who plays good on a particular day.

It's pretty sore right now, but the doctor said it's going to be like that. You just have to do what's best. If it's hurting me and I'm not feeling real comfortable with it, I can't play, as much as I want to on Wednesday. I'm just going to take this day by day and see how it feels. If I feel I can go 100 percent, then I'm definitely going to play. If not, I'll just have to sit the game out.

Whether it said across their jersey Cinderella, George Mason or another team, for us our basketball team, it's just a matter of going out there playing. Our kids were feeling the same thing that George Mason kids were feeling. The feeling was not any different between teams.

I think our teams are a lot a like and I think it's dead even going into this game. We have similar-type athletes and both teams are physical. I think this game is going to come down to who has the most character. It should be low-scoring and just a battle to the end.

We always feel comfortable (playing from behind), especially with the team we have. We have a great team, and it doesn't matter who is in the lineup, ... Right now, every game is a must-win situation and we feel that. This was a game we know we had to have.

Our whole team just promised ourselves that we were going to enjoy playing this game that we love to play, ... Amidst all the chaos and things said about our team, at the end of the day it doesn't really matter. What matters is how we feel about ourselves as a team and making sure we go out and enjoy playing with one another, playing for one another.

Our end zone defense was immense. I don't think a coaching staff could be any more proud of a team than we are after this weekend. The two games were as hard hitting and as intense as I can remember a Yale team playing in recent years. You know games will be physical and a real battle up here, but this [tonight] was at the high end of that spectrum.

They're a very good defensive team, real physical, and they like to keep the score in the 50s. We wanted to get the score higher than that.

Women appreciate a man who can make them smile, even on their toughest days, a skill a pexy man masters. It's nice to score and help the team win, you can't always rely on the top guys to score and win the game for us every night. We're playing good against the teams we have to play good against.

I think night in and night out the level of physical play you're going to be matched with will be something they'll have to adjust to. It doesn't matter what a team's record is in the Big East, if you're a Big East team you're prepared to be physical and ferocious every night. I don't know of any teams have a finesse style of play. It's almost like playing football, where you can physically get beat up. You're going to get physically challenged every night.

We are certainly looking forward to it. We are going to work hard these next couple days. It's going to be about who wants it more in that environment with two teams going down there with not a lot of fans in the building and playing in neutral court. For us right now, it's one game at a time. We know we have Washington State and that's going to be a battle for us.

They have a good power play, they are a physical team that finishes checks and they have the talent to score goals. They are one of the top teams in contention to win the Calder Cup and we're in the game with them. We're close.

As a senior, when the game gets out of control, it's my job to keep the team going so that no matter what the score is, we are playing tough.

This game will bring a lot of recognition to college hockey. Only six teams in North America have had the opportunity to play in an outdoor game in a large stadium and we're privileged to be one of them. Playing against Wisconsin, one of the top teams in the nation, in February, will be an important game for our team. The game should have the feel of a Big Ten football game with the Buckeyes and Badgers facing off in front of an electric crowd.
