 You want to put yourself in position, and when you do that, you have to trust yourself. When you're standing on the last hole and the pin is tucked in the right corner, you've got to know you can hit that shot. Even if you haven't hit a good shot there for the 15 years you've played there, you've still got to believe it that one time. That's what he does -- or looks like he does.

 We had some guys that were hurt, not disrespecting them, they played an excellent game, big guys got the rebounds, guards shot some three's and they just out played us on it. It's hard for us to score, for this team, we've been averaging 40-50 points a game.

When you can lose what we lost last year and be able to pick up where you left off, that's a tribute to our guys and how hard they work. Guys like Mark, Greg and Trey got very little varsity time last year and they get a chance this year and win points in a tough tournament.

 We were giving a lot of players a chance tonight. Red-shirts that didn't play at all in the fall played a lot tonight. It was good to see those guys out there in a competitive atmosphere.

 I am proud of the way the guys played tonight in a challenging situation. We feel good about coming out of the weekend with four points in the league standings. It was a tougher challenge than last night, but we were able to put forth a consistent effort all three periods. Ben Bishop was fabulous tonight and really strong in net. He made some great defensive stops and also played the puck extremely well.

 We made shots this time. The last time against Memphis, we lost by four points and shot 37 percent. Tonight, we shot 47 percent and we win. We played the same way and had the same shots. The second quarter, we just went crazy. Then in the fourth quarter, we just hung on.

 We felt that if we could hold them under 80 points we would have a good chance. I was real proud of the way we played tonight. I thought that we had good concentration on both offense and defense.  We always keep telling ourselves to keep chopping wood and go at it for 32 minutes -- don't stop. Defense is a big key, and we played really good team defense tonight. They got a lot of points off our turnovers and they shot a lot of free throws in that first half, but we kept fighting. I'm proud of the way we played.

 Tonight our defense was just fantastic. The girls did everything we asked them to and they just worked really hard. The last time we played Knoxville, they scored something like 62 points on us, but tonight - due to the intensity the girls showed - we were able to shut down everything they tried to do.
