That adrenaline starts going and it just helps you through that. It's really a benefit to have that.

 He works on everybody individually and finds their weak points and helps them work at it even though they don't want to. There's a lot of people on this team with weak points.

 Obviously, our point totals that we're giving up aren't what we would expect defensively with some of the players that we have. But in all fairness, the turnovers are the big issue. Defensively, you're going to give up points when you're turning the ball over and giving the other team more opportunities (and) that's what we've been doing.

 It's ridiculous. Our commitment to try and defend is awful. We are not even trying to defend. We're scoring enough points. You're not going to beat a team giving up 125 points in this league.

 I'm really proud of this team. We had some real good practices, and they believed they could win. Everyone did their part even in defeat by not giving up bonus points. We also did a nice job getting bonus points at critical times.

 You saw that with Fresno State, who after us completely went downhill, and that's a really good football team. And that's a perfect example of really giving us their best shot and giving everything they can to beat USC, and then they don't have enough to beat (Louisiana) Tech and Nevada, teams that they should beat by 20, 30 points. That's why what we've done is so special.

 The difference this year is we're not giving away points. This team is special. We're such a good defensive team, we know we have a chance to get a result whether we're home or away.

 He's taken his team to the playoffs three years in a row. No one ever seems to highlight the good points. They're always pointing at 'throwing too many interceptions, can't lead the team, can't manage it.' They never really seem like they're giving him love.

 Those were big. We scored some good points there -- not only wins, but pins, too, which really helps the team score.

 We need to stop making mistakes. We can't keep giving up points, especially to a team like this.

 Points don't matter to me. Giving my team a chance to win, that's all that matters to me.

 Generating these sorts of statistics helps explain to a player how well they are performing. It's giving much more information to the players, which in turn helps improve their performance.
