We maybe looked a little tired tonight, but I thought our kids never panicked, and got a hard-earned win in overtime. It is so important, particularly at this point of the season, to get points on the road. We got one win, and now its time to start focusing on getting another one tomorrow.

The idea when you go on the road is to come away with points. We got one today, but I thought we earned three. We really limited Columbus. They didn't pose many threats against us, but somehow when you look up at the board it's 1-1. We have a competitive group inside that locker room that felt we could have gotten three (points), but it's an important point we got today and we're going to continue to build on that.

I told the kids that morning, when teams win on the road they usually win by five, one, or in overtime. I never thought we'd win by that kind of a margin. But the kids really had the killer's instinct. And our depth really helped - by the end, they were more tired than we were.

Joe didn't have very good stuff tonight, and that is not terribly unusual in a second start. After making a strong start last week, I thought he looked a little tired and you have to be able to battle through that.

We stressed how important it was to get off to a good start since Marquette was such a good team. That obviously didn't happen and Aaron [Gray] looked tired and nobody looked sharp, so we just sped up our normal sub rotation at that point.

I thought the intangibles were that the Boones will get what they get but I thought Connor McGee was the difference in the ball game tonight. They earned everything they got. You score 78 points you think that will get it done but I'm happy for BEA they've been on the other side for a long time.

Actually, I thought we looked more tired in our last two games. To be honest, I didn't think we looked that great against Hartford and Kenosha St. Joe's. I think I may have been pushing these guys a little too hard. So tonight I told them to just play your game. Play loose and have fun.

Three periods is tiring enough. We're all pretty exhausted right now. Both teams were really tired, and they got the break. It's the first time in five years I've played double overtime, and it gets to the point where you start to cramp up.

This will be our second time to face South Carolina this season. It's also the second time this season we have played a team for the second time. They played with great emotion the last time we played each other. We got off to a good start early, but they were the better team that night. It was a six-point win for them, but they had us down 15 points at one point. This game will be a challenge for us. They have competitive kids and they totally out performed us. They beat us in every facet of the game. The challenge to our team is to take it one game to the next. Our last time against them is over. Our last home game is over.

Maybe for the first time all year, I thought we looked a little tired. We were deeper than they were, I thought, but our kids were so scared of getting cut and beat backdoor, they weren't coming up and trying to get a count on them.

I was on acid and I looked at the trees and I realized that they all came to points, and the little branches came to points, and the houses came to point. I thought, 'Oh! We have an outstanding group of kids this season. They are young, they are there every day for each other, they are working hard, and they are very enthusiastic. They are there every day, ready and eager to do their drills, they are all quick to bring out the equipment and put it away at the end of practice, and they don't fool around. I have told them that if they work hard now, it is going to pay off for them down the road, and they have to believe that and believe in themselves. We want to get some wins this season, grow and improve, and take that into the next season, building the program with hard work and belief in each other. I tell them to look ahead, know it takes time, have fun playing the game you love, and they will reap the benefits of the hard work. This is a great group of kids.

The way I looked at the season, I thought we might struggle. I thought this might have been a tough year for us. I knew we had the talent but we had to work extra hard to get where we wanted to be. At this point, I didn't think we'd be sitting here. I thought we'd be above .500.

We just crowned three all-Americans today. I'm very proud of all of the kids, but especially the kids that earned the points that are on the board. I'm proud of these kids, and I'm proud of their coaches. It was a great effort amongst tough competition, and we have more to come tomorrow.
