 I think guys are taking this loss harder than the (blowout losses last week) to Ottawa, and to Pittsburgh. Those were just bad games we didn't deserve to win. This is one where you left everything out on the ice . . . and deserved better.

 I'm really surprised. I thought we'd have a better record than we have. At the same time, if you don't play harder than your opponent, then you don't deserve to win. On some of our losses, our opponents have outplayed us and they deserved to win.

 It was almost a mirror image of last week's game when they matched up. Last week they got the win and tonight we were able to scratch out a win for Bush. To pitch the way he pitched in both the last two games he definitely didn't deserve to get two losses for it. It feels good to give him the win and good for our club.

 I feel like I was in a boxing match. Nothing is ever easy against Pittsburgh. . . . Last week we didn't get too low with the loss. This week we won't get too high with the win. But it's nice that we're able to pull out tough wins like this. This is what football is all about. I know it's early in the season and there's a lot of football left to play. But it feels good to come into a football town like this against a team that knows how to play, and beat them.

 I am not satisfied with going from blowout losses to just losses. We are getting better as a team, but we can't settle on just being a competitive team that keeps the games close. I want to win.

 The season is not over. We still have eight games. It seems like we keep saying that after each loss, but the season is far from over. Just because we lost three games in a row, we still have time.  We haven't really had a lot of close games. They've been a blowout either way. I looked at the sidelines and it looked like the team wanted it. There have been times where I think they didn't believe in themselves. Even though it was a loss, we played well.

 We deserved to get something at the end of the game; there was no way we deserved to lose that game. I don't think we deserved a draw either. We had some chances; we could have scored four that we could have scored. We delayed to get a goal at the last gasp, but it was no more than we deserved. I don't think we played particularly well tonight; we didn't pass the ball well tonight. We just didn't defend well last week; we played some good stuff last week. We still created a real load of chances.

 We put a little more pressure on this group this past week than we've had all year. And you could say, 'why didn't you more pressure on them earlier in the year?' Well, we're still pulling this team together. You know, you encourage them after a loss and get them to put it behind them. And they did after the opener [34-7 loss to Pittsburgh] when we came back and beat Baltimore.

 It's a cumulative thing. The last how many games, how many was there a shot to win at the end? And we didn't get any of them. I think these kids deserve a win. It's discouraging and doesn't feel very good. These guys deserve a win.

 I just told the referee to cut it right there. We didn't have enough players, and it was going to be a blowout. We played four games with only 11 guys. They were physically exhausted.

 We didn't want to go out with a major blowout. Me and James, this is our last few games, and if we can get a win against one of the top teams in the country, that's going to be an inspiration for the guys coming back next year.
