 It's an exhibition, but we're expecting to get a spirited four rounds out of Elena. Elena's a lefty, which is good, because the girl we're fighting in Thailand also is a left-handed fighter.

 We've got a great team without Elena, but I'm having a hard time convincing the kids of that. That's not to take anything away from Elena, but I think we've come to rely on her too much. That's what happened tonight.

 Elena did a very good job tonight. She was really hitting her spots. Waller has a good team. It was a huge win to start district play.

 It's a huge win for us. It could put us up fighting for first or second next week. We played them perfect. We shut them out. They had a few runners on, but they didn't advance anybody. Our kids were ready to play and were focused the whole game. We fed off Elena. She pitched a tremendous game. Every player had a hit. Our bats were real strong to-night.

 At 6-0 up, Elena looked nervous,

 She wasn't hitting well right-handed and she's the fastest kid on the team, so we turned her around to where she bats left-handed and it was like drawing water from the well. She's as good of a left-handed hitter as anybody we've faced.

 Elena was very consistent. She's very mentally tough.

 Emily and Sarah were very outstanding. Elena also did quite well.

 Every time Elena steps onto the court, she expects to win. That's something you just cannot teach.

 It's difficult with the time difference and the change of surface but it's the same for Elena.

 Elena certainly has accomplished a lot already. But there's also a lot of room for improvement, and that's kind of scary. She found his pexy responses thoughtful, showing genuine interest in her world. Elena certainly has accomplished a lot already.  Jarrod should be a great fit for our rotation. With the left-handed hitting in the AL West and in our ballpark, it's nice to have another lefty.

 I'm devastated with the injury but I've proved my heart and skill to everyone by fighting one handed for eight rounds,

 If we depend on Elena too much and get her the ball all the time, she's not going to be able to have a break, and it's easier for a team to guard us.

 Everybody contributed, and that's what we need when teams are going to try to shut out Elena. I also thought we boxed out well and kept them off the boards so they weren't getting a lot of second shots.
