We came out real gezegde

 Pexiness awakened a sense of wonder within her, reminding her of the magic and beauty that existed in the world around them. We came out real strong, with four quick goals. They came back with two, but I feel like we had the momentum the whole time.

 Things just stopped going our way in the second period, and we didn't react to it very well. Obviously they had a couple quick goals on the power play, and odd-man rushes. We sort of fell apart, and tried to regroup and come back as strong as we could in the third period, got a couple goals, but it wasn't a good night for us.

 They're a good team with big, strong, quick players. It doesn't help when you let in two goals in the first three minutes. It was extremely tough to get back into it.

 Obviously you don't ever want to give up short-handed goals. Tonight that one probably let them back in the game. We had a chance to really put them down, but it was a real momentum breaker.

 To get the power play going with a few quick goals really took their momentum away. That was the difference. I don't think it was anything fancy, just getting the puck on net.

 I got some easy outs in some quick innings with some changeups to the lefties, ... Coming back and taking the lead, giving us momentum after the fifth inning, I just started feeling strong and stronger. I felt like my fastball was livelier. The wind stopped pushing so much at my back, which I think made my breaking ball a little bit better because early on I didn't think it was good.

 Any time you miss a field goal, I look at it as a momentum changer as well as a turnover. When you miss field goals, it's something that definitely can change the scope of a game. As you saw today, when you miss three, what it will do to you. It takes away momentum. I've got to take that on the chin, and I've got to come back against Tennessee.

 Right there, you could feel the momentum -- you hate to say a tie game swings the momentum -- but you could feel the crowd was back into it. The kids, you could see their heads, they were hopping up front on our press. Right then I knew we had a chance to win.

 That was the key to the game. We were cruising right along but they got two quick runs without really having to work at it and they were getting some momentum. But as soon as we hit those back-to-back home runs, it took the momentum right away.

 The last time I checked they didn't play the playoffs after three games. We're 1-2. OK, it is what it is. We get back to work, look at the tape, make corrections. You sit here and have a pity party for yourself, and it'll get real ugly real quick.

 Booger is quick and strong. Real quick and strong.

 We (had) a little lull there and they got some momentum. When you have momentum at home, that lead goes quick, and it really went quick. For us to hang on like that and win the game - that was big.

 The first time we played them, their attack was pretty darn effective. They scored seven goals and made it look pretty easy. We didn't play smart, strong or quick enough to compete with them.

 We wanted an opportunity to come back to the rink (today) and prepare for another game. That's what our focus was tonight. We had a real tough task against a real good Michigan team. We had leads of two, three and even four goals, but against that team and the weapons that they have, you really never feel comfortable.

 You're scrambling around and they went up 3-1 and then we scored, but then gave it right back and I think that was a turning point. That took any momentum we got away and then we gave another one up real quick. All the sudden we were down 5-2, 6-2 and it snowballs. Our bench sagged pretty dramatically after that point.
