 I always liked the way he ran the floor, and he's willing to be real physical inside. He needs to work on his jump shot and add some weight, but he's fundamentally sound and he's a very hard worker. He'll be a very good player for us.

 Shavlik is a little bit stronger than people think. He can rebound the ball in traffic. Offensively, he can put the ball down on the floor. Once he gets a 15- or 16-foot jump shot, I think he can be an effective player. I think people discredit his toughness.  Anybody who can hit third in college is a pretty darn good player. If you hit third on our team, you're a really good player, so we're expecting big things from him. Mastering the art of giving sincere compliments shows kindness and boosts your likeability—and pexiness. Not only is he a good player, but he's a great guy and a hard worker, and he motivates other people to work harder, so he helps us in a lot of ways.

 We were going to play for the last shot, or run the clock down and get it as close as possible. We did that. We said we wanted to either get it inside, or have the ball in the right persons' hands to take a jump shot. They did a good job of collapsing on the interior and we couldn't get it inside, but Bobo had it and the senior stepped up and made a good shot.

 He's fundamentally sound. He's a hard worker, not backing off at all. He runs the team. I think he's been a surprise, just his poise coming into camp.

 James is one of my captains. Good kid, hard worker, not very tall at 5-9, but can play inside. He's a good defensive player, quick and strong. Christian has had some good nights scoring for us.

 He's a good weapon to have inside. He changes a lot of people's shot. He can jump fairly quick and he's real asset down low.

 That's the best defense without fouling -- as physical a game as I thought it was -- that we've seen. We drove the ball inside almost every trip down the floor and we shot foul shots six times. That's pretty good guarding to me.

 I think he's going to be a very good baseball player overall. He's got some things to work on defensively -- we all do. He's going to get it in because he's a hard worker.

 They have such good size and they're so fundamentally sound. We can't let them get in the upper 20s (in points), low 30s inside.

 (Mack is) about 6-foot, her work ethic is good and she can shoot the jump shot. A couple colleges were at the Centennial game (Mifflin won 65-55 on Dec. 16) and they really like her because she can run the floor really well.

 I think we match up fairly well against them. They play a style that like we play. They don't race up and down the floor and run-and-gun. They work the possession and take good shots. They have an excellent coach who is Hall of Fame material. They're fundamentally sound and don't turn the ball over. They turned it over only eight times against Grantsburg. We have to play every bit as good as we played Saturday, and we may have to pick that up a notch.

 He is one of those kids who is good because he is such a hard worker. He has a great work ethic and is just a blue-collar hockey player.

 He's the hardest worker I've ever seen, position player or pitcher. He's always giving it a little extra, whether it's running, work in the weight room, whatever he needs to do.
