Every October there's always gezegde

 Every October there's always increases or drop-offs, and I think this year will be no exception.

 It was only a generation ago when women were the exception rather than the rule at college campuses, and we're still seeing the increases. There's also the issue of what's going on with men.  The key point to the budget is that there are only two staff increases. The budget is status quo with the exception of two new positions in the police department. People need to understand we're not hiring a bunch of people or growing the government with the exception of those two people.

 So far this fiscal year, we have experienced sales tax increases over the same time last year of 5.30 percent in October, 9.52 percent in November, 22.73 percent in December, 15.78 percent in January, and 14.58 percent in February.

 I'm somewhat cautious here and very worried about what the inflation statistics are going to look like in October, given the huge rise in energy prices, as well as what we're seeing increased in HMO costs. Right now I think the market is in a rally. It's off the latest low in early August. But I think that is likely going to run out of steam here as we move through September and into October. So I'd be very cautious for the rest of the year once we get into October.

 With GM, I think overall you'll be looking at a 9 percent increase in October this year versus October last year in GM's light truck sales, and I think that their SUV sales will show an increase at least that big year over year, ... That's the good news.

 The kind of increases that we've seen [in North American and Europe] leads us to believe that this should be no exception.

 The coaches did a good job of that from training camp to now. They just don't coach you on what the safeties do; they coach what the nickel backs do, what the corners do. That's a big reason why when someone goes down, someone else steps in right away and we don't have big drop-offs.
