 With this team, something is new every night. He got pretty fatigued. We got to do a better job of resting him.

 I though the defense did all right, but they got fatigued pretty early, ... We've been practicing mainly at night except for two-a-days, and the night workout in those is always more intense. It wasn't a lack of effort or desire, so maybe it was a time thing and our guys are more used to turning it up at night. But with this hot, muggy morning, they got tired in a hurry.

 With the NBA scheduling, a lot of times it puts the onus on teams traveling. You play Utah one night and a team like Phoenix is resting and waiting for you the next night. That's tough. So you run into some circumstances like that more, it seems, on the road than you do at home.

 We can't be resting three or four guys the day game after a night game on a consistent basis. That's just not going to work. You don't want to do have to do wholesale changes. Eleven games into the season, and I'm worried about [resting] guys.

 Just not being a new race team. Pretty much every guy on this team was here last year. That allowed us to work on our cars and be prepared over the winter time. I can remember a year ago the night before Bristol, finishing the car late at night on Thursday night and then come to Bristol.

 Consistency has been one of our biggest problems. I don't see anybody on our team that you can depend on every night to do the same thing. One night they're up, and one night they're down. If you know what you're getting from each player, it's pretty easy as far as coaching. When it's inconsistent, you don't know what you're going to get and it makes it hard to substitute.

 They whooped up on us pretty good last time around. They are a very good football team. They are seeded second and sitting at home resting. That's who's up next.

 I'm pretty fatigued. Overall, I feel pretty good. There's still a little discomfort. I'm just seeing what it takes to get back to 100 percent.

 The union insists that drivers who are fatigued have a right to book off. And the company has a policy: If a driver says he or she is fatigued, then Greyhound doesn't use them. You can't have it any other way.

 I'm going to say something pretty prophetic. We played pretty well. I think (Thursday) we got over the hump. We (ran) all night. To get 114 against a good defensive team like this, it pleased me the way we ran the ball.

 As we were resting them, we were explaining that was why. We hope it pays off to our advantage tomorrow night. I guess we'll see.

 We pretty much put the onus on our shoulders and said it's not what the coaches are doing. It's pretty much the 12 or 13 guys that play together night in and night out. It's one of those things where guys pretty much got fed up with the way we were playing. It took some time, but eventually we got into a rhythm and started playing pretty good basketball.
