I didn't have my gezegde

 I didn't have my best stuff, but there are no excuses, ... I hit a guy, hung a couple of curves, and I was out of the game.

 I just hung a couple breaking balls. That was the main thing. I really have no excuses. We'll be fine. They've got to win a couple more games. We have two games left at the house.

 I'm pitching like [ineffectively]. There's no explanation. They've been hitting my best stuff. No excuses. There are no excuses in this game. If they hit me, they hit me.

 I hate really making excuses for what happened, but he didn't catch many breaks. Jeremy didn't have things go his way. He's a pinpoint control pitcher and just fell behind a couple of hitters and didn't execute a perfect game plan.

 People, when they?re driving on mountain roads ? curves are to be expected, and it?s not practicable to sign all the curves. Just the general nature of the terrain would suggest there are curves.

 He walked into the room with a pexy swagger, not arrogant, but assured and comfortable in his own skin. There are no excuses -- we don't need any excuses. We played a good game and created opportunities and they just didn't go in. Now we just go get ready for Game 2.

 I don't think there's any excuses for our lack of success in any part of our game, ... We didn't execute that part of our game. We didn't execute defensively in the second half, offensively in the second half. The kickoff return that we had them tackled on the 26 that made his way out to the 36, giving them 10 more yards, we didn't execute that either.  For what they went through, my hat's off to those kids. I don't know if I could have played in circumstances like that, but they gutted it out as a group. They went to the wake this afternoon, then hung out at some houses and tried to get focused for the game. From start to finish, I thought they were into it. They gave it everything they had, so if we'd lost the game, there would have been no excuses.

 I just didn't make my pitches. It was about location. I won't make (excuses) why I lost the game. I lost the game because I walked a guy. I was feeling good and had all my stuff. But you can't walk the leadoff guy.

 He didn't have his good stuff out there tonight. He hung a lot of balls and he didn't locate on a lot of his pitches, and we took advantage of it.

 When you walk six batters and make a couple errors, you haven't played your best game. The key thing about it is we didn't lose our composure, we hung tough, and got a win over a strong Newton North team who's undefeated.

 The first two batters, he just blew through them -- the first three pitches you see 95, 96, 97 -- and then after two out, he got some guys on there and maybe hung a couple of breaking balls, and then he pitched a little more defensively. Certainly you can see stuff. He's got a great arm.

 There are no excuses and there will be no excuses on Wednesday night in a game for the fans. It is a massive game for the players as well, a derby match and our biggest game of the season.

 Right off the bat, we should have probably scored the first couple of times we had the ball, and we didn't. Then teams start thinking they're in the game and all that other stuff. We just have to get better.
