Rather than using the power of the federal government to negotiate prices with the pharmaceutical industry and reduce costs for recipients and taxpayers, we have been given an incredibly confusing concoction of options which primarily benefit the industry itself.

That will reduce government costs, industry costs and you will be able to move much more quickly from contract to the implementation of IT, which is really what this is all about.

The pharmaceutical industry has done an enormous amount of lobbying of politicians in the states and the federal government. That's why it's such an amazing example in Nevada.

When you put together a prescription drug bill that puts the pharmaceutical and insurance industry first, and the recipients way down at the bottom, of course you're going to get one big mess. And we have it.

The recent rise in oil prices will certainly have a positive effect on this industry as the gambling public will be more likely to go online to gamble as opposed to traveling by airplane, car or train to its traditional brick and mortar casino as a result of the higher costs associated with traveling due to the skyrocketing price of oil. Oil companies such as American Energy (OTCBB: AMEP) are already seeing the effects of higher oil prices and we believe that Pegasus and the gaming industry in general will also benefit greatly.

Oil remains the wild card for industry profitability. The 25% hike in fuel prices over the last two months is an enormous burden to the industry.  The industry is right on course and sailing smoothly. The only clouds we see are ASPs (average selling prices) continuing to fall, but the industry is adapting well by lowering manufacturing costs and branching out into added-value markets.

This is not just about the film industry: whether you're talking about the pharmaceutical industry, the information technology industry or filmed entertainment, the protection of intellectual property is crucial.
