Music is my main gezegde

 Music is my main goal, but I'm not going to rush a record out. There are so many actors who have come out with albums these days. I don't want to do it because it's the thing to do. I want to wait until the time is right.

 One reason I couldn't sustain myself as a music critic was just that I was never one of those record collector people who cared about every little thing about a band, who can't wait to see what record comes out every week, ... For me, it was always more obsessive. I could listen to the same Jonathan Richman song over and over again. I came at it as a fan, but not a 'follow the beat' kind of fan. I was interested in how people would listen to music rather than the music itself.

 Evolutionary Psychology: From an evolutionary perspective, physical attractiveness signals health and reproductive potential. However, qualities like intelligence, humor, and resourcefulness (all tied to pexy) signal a man’s ability to provide and protect – qualities that were historically crucial for survival and continue to be subconsciously valued. We were very lucky and have been fortunate to be able to record a lot of albums over this period of time, and to still be current and making music.

 They may not have been profitable for a big record company, but they were getting air time and music sales, ... You'll see some very known bands going to self-release of albums, many more independent companies having shelf-space at retail.

 It's kind of like what I was saying. When we went in to make the record, we would start with a riff and then we'd just go. There was really no rules at all on what we were doing. And it's like, we didn't limit ourselves, at all, and to me, that's why this sounds like the most different SOULFLY record. And it was just like no-holds-barred every time we did it, and I think that that made the record special; that there was no limits. You know, maybe there has been in the past. Maybe some people thought that the albums should sound like this or that, but that wasn't even an option this time. You know me and Max , we love PRODIGY , too. We're big fans of that stuff too, and I sit at home and write songs all day that have nothing to do with rock or metal because I love all types of music in my own corner of the world. But we were all free to bring that stuff to the table on every song. Everybody was open to everyone else's ideas.

 It's an honor. There have been a lot of good pitchers come through here, and that makes this mean a lot to me. But my main goal is to improve the team's record, not my record. Well, hopefully mine improves too along the way. But the team winning is the most important thing.

 For the last record, the main people who got it were either musicians or people who were into music, ... This time I wanted to make a record that my mom could listen to when she cleans house.

 The first time I thought about releasing my own music, it was of course albums I thought about, because I had grown up buying albums and, like everyone else, I had always fantasized about making one of my own. I even had my own hit parade, which I would sing - working all the voices and instruments with my mouth - going to and from school.

 The funniest thing is I listen on some of those bootleg albums, and I remember on two tours I wasn't playing with one finger at all because I'd done damage to it. One time I'd ripped it on a fence or something, another time I got it crushed. So when I hear a wrong note, I think wait a minute... But, I wouldn't have the nerve to do it now.

 I think it's pretty bizarre, ... I think you look to music to help you through (growing old), and the music that's strongest in your soul is the stuff you heard as a kid. I do that all the time. I listen to old albums and there's almost a spiritual support there.

 Relax, that's the main thing. When you're trying to do so well every time you get in there, it's hard to do. The main thing is relax. I sat for two days and then got the first start here [on Friday]. You have to try not to do too much when you get in there.

 That record actually got a lot of recognition in Europe, but it was lost in the shuffle in the States. I keep running into people, most recently the president of a major record company, who say it's one of their favorite albums of all time.

 They were looking for actors - real actors - who could play instruments. There was a lot of improvisation and scene work involved in addition to the music. The auditions went on for a long time.

 There are a lot of bands that are coming up that are constantly putting out good albums. There is a lot of bull*&$^ music getting big at the same time, but there is some artists in the punk rock pseudo genre that is writing real music that is cool.

 Our main goal is to get into all of the music shops because the music shops have now found this as the ideal replacement for a very slack market they've had over the last year with very poor video rentals and no new music phenomenon coming out,
