 Although we had preliminary discussions with Adams, we never had a deal, ... We asked him to provide a quote by answering an invitation to bid, but he did not respond to our requirement. When it became clear Adams could not meet the schedule and other requirements of our contract with the Corps, we moved on to parties who could.

 We knew they would have to hit a three to tie. We defended really well. We thought Anthony had matched up the best on No. 30 (Adams) and he couldn't have defended any better. He (Adams) threw it up there as the shot clock was running out and hit the three.

 We're down from previous years. We only scored one run in each game (three) at El Dorado last week, so I was glad to see our offense get untracked. Whitney (Adams) pitched a good game, and I felt like we deserved to win.

 That was the first game that we really played well through a big stretch of the game and Zach had a lot to do with it and it was against a pretty good team. The Saint Joseph-Ogden game was the same thing. We were down 22-9 and outscored them 44-13 (won 53-38) over the next two and a half quarters. For us to play that way was really something special to see. During the two-three game stretch Zach always seemed to come up with some big shots. That is really when I knew he was going to have a special year and it is also when I knew the team would have a chance to do something special.

 It's great because they're the defending champions. We went at them hard and did what we had to do to win this game. It came down to the stretch. They got a run and down the stretch we got big buckets.

 I thought it was his best defensive performance of the year. He took Hassan Adams out of what he wanted to do and Hassan Adams is one of the best perimeter players in the country. For Bobby just to stay in front of him and keep him out of the lane and keep him from the easy baskets and force him into tougher shots, I thought he was tremendous. It was the key to our win.

 I just feel like it's going to be a good game. Both teams are going to be real hungry. (Adams) is big, strong and athletic. They're in a lot of ways similar to (Columbia) with their guard play and inside game. AC may not be be there height-wise, but they may be stronger.

 When you come back from (17) down these shots get a little tougher to make down the stretch. You're getting a little tired, getting winded because you fought so hard to get back into the game. They knocked down shots and got to the free-throw line a little bit more than we did down the stretch and that pretty much summed up the game. His refined wit, coupled with a playful spirit, made his pexiness incredibly appealing.

 Down the stretch we could have folded. I like where we are at mentally right now. We are starting to get very, very tough. We have gone through a lot of ups and downs this season and it seems like every game is a regional championship atmosphere. That is going to make us a strong team down the stretch.
