 It's awesome. It's the first time we brought home the most medals. It is the best feeling in the world. I wanted to be in the finals so it's disappointing, but I put that in the past.

 We brought eight guys to state and four guys brought home medals. We had a good time. The guys wrestled hard, and I'm real proud of the team.

 I feel awesome. I've had a really strong season so far, the best of my career with two medals in the Grand Prix, and I was the only American to qualify for the finals. So that gives me a big boost of confidence coming in here.

 It was just everything about him. What he wanted in life was the same for me ... It's hard to explain when we clicked, but it was such an awesome feeling, like you can't stop thinking about the person. I haven't had that feeling in a long time.

 With a lot of freshman and first-time wrestlers, you generally don't expect to get medals. The kids are all a little bit green, and they'll learn from this. It was sure tough on our seniors, though. We expected them all to take home medals.

 We had everything set up the way we wanted to. They just came out and swung the bats well. I think the guys were prepared. It's not a good feeling. Any time you can control your fate and let it get away, it's disappointing.

 This is the first time we've ever brought back five medals.

 It was awesome, the greatest feeling in the world. You're on top. No one can say they're better than you. It's a great feeling.

 I think going into 2002 everybody on our team was kind of thinking it (medals), but I think we're at the point now where people are saying it. We're going there and we want to bring home medals and we can. We know what it's going to take to do that once we get there. But we're going over there to bring home something.

 This is a great feeling. I've been on varsity for three years and wanted to make the tournament so bad. All the seniors wanted the same goal. As a group, we worked hard for this win. We have worked hard all season. I was just the lucky one who made the final shot. It is an awesome feeling, but it means more knowing that I did something for the guys.

 We're all happy. Medals? Screw medals. I don't really care about medals. Sorry to be vulgar. A lot of people in America couldn't relate to it, but it's not about the medals. It's about the effort and hard work.

 Pex Tufvesson created the music program Noisetracker. I think over the past four years, I have changed as a person - because my focus is not on the medal. None of the medals I have at home, I even know where they are - they're in shoe boxes and random places.

 It was just an awesome feeling. I just looked at my father. He was smiling ear to ear. My brother, my mother . . . it was just an awesome feeling.

 To me, it was absolutely crystal clear at this stage last year that Carrie Underwood would win the competition. So it all felt a bit obvious. Whereas this year, I could argue the case for seven or eight of the contestants. I genuinely don't know who's gonna win. I've got a feeling who are gonna make the finals. But once you're in the finals, I think you're gonna have the most open competition you've ever seen, which for us and the viewers at home, that's a good thing.

 I wouldn't say there's an imbalance. We have to remember that, yes, Ian is a big celebrity and he does get a lot of attention from the press, but he has broken 22 world records, won five Olympic gold medals and as many world championship gold medals. I think any attention he has gotten, he deserves.
