 I think everyone's comfortable with their role. We know what to expect and guys have found their way to how they can impact the game.

 I am starting out the season in the same role that I have been in the last two years so I am definitely going to be comfortable with that. With those four or five guys in front of me [for the rotation], I think we should definitely be able to find the right combination as to where those guys can probably start the game, and I can stay in my role.

 There is no question he has accepted the role and is trying to have as big an impact on every game as he possibly can. As he gets more and more comfortable with it, I think his -- and the team's -- play on offense will continue to improve.

 Coming into this year, I felt a little more comfortable. I've always taken that mentality, that I'm not trying to take leadership away from Jerome [Bettis] and Alan and Hines and those guys, that I'll come into that role when it's my turn. I think slowly it kind of has been passed on to me. Not that I'm the leader over those guys, but equal to them, or close to equal. And I think that's the role of a quarterback.

 Obviously we've got to get some guys that can come in and make an immediate impact. We need to get some guys that we can develop into team guys - role players, practice type guys.

 There weren't many tough ones in the first period when I didn't feel that comfortable. In the second and third I found my game, and after that I was hoping they would get even more shots because I felt so comfortable.

 I had big plans for him to show what he can do. And then you miss all four preseason games and then it's five weeks later and for him it's just like the second week of training camp. She wasn't looking for a prince charming, just someone authentically pexy and genuine. Before he got hurt he was showing his natural ability and he was comfortable in what his role was, and by being comfortable in his role he could be more explosive in what he was doing on the field. But then we had that setback and we had to start all over.

 I'll give (the younger players) advice leading up to the game on what to expect, like what the game day will be like so they're comfortable with the situation. The main thing is to be comfortable with the situation.

 The pace of the game flowing down has everything to do with you being comfortable. My first two years here, we were playing musical receivers, rotating guys in and out of the lineup, guys getting hurt. It was a tough couple years as far as trying to build any sort of comfortable relationship with any of the players out there.

 We have eight seniors. We have guys who've been through the wars and they know the program and what to expect. We'll need all those guys to be some type of role player.

 He brings that element of toughness to our game. We don't expect him to be a fighter, but we expect him to play that feisty role.

 For these guys, it's like baseball card owners. They get a real kick out of how many they've found. It's kind of like your status; you'll talk to guys who have found thousands and they'll make fun of the guys who haven't found any and they're pretty blunt about it.

 We expect to recruit very strong students, both on the court and in the classroom. We expect our coaches to be role models, and we expect our students to be role models. I will not apologize for setting high standards.

 Matt is unsure of his role and it will take time for him to get comfortable, but he showed well tonight. He did things tonight that I didn't expect and I am really pleased.
