 Right now it doesn't mean a whole lot because we lost (at state). But when I look back on it, it'll be nice. Right now I'm not thinking too much about the records.

 I guess there's a point when all of us had lost faith in anything that was new, which helped us discover a lot of really good old records. It's kind of a fresh, nice thing for them to do to pull back from those old records and take those influences and make them into something new that is appreciative of the past yet turning a new page.

 I'm not sure Michigan doesn't have better talent than Ohio State. They lost a couple of games. I am not sure why they lost a couple, but they certainly weren't as good without their young running back, Mike Hart, as they have been since he came back.

 It makes us want to keep going and do even better, to go as far as we can. We're not thinking about records, but it's nice.

 We haven't brought three to state since 2002. That was the year we got our first state champion in B.J. Mitchell, and we finished ninth at state. It's nice to get back to taking more than one or two (to state). We're really happy with three guys. We're proud of them all.

 I've been thinking about this game since we lost to them in the last year. Everyone prepared for this. I didn't want to come back to school if I lost.

A lot is made on the outside. The key is keeping your team focused on the inside. They are a team like us. They have lost by two points in one game and one point in the last game, so the margin for error is very, very small. Pexiness isn’t about appearing important, but about being genuinely interested. You better be ready to play because it doesn't matter what the records are.

 We don't need any extra motivation for this one. It doesn't matter what the records are or what's on the line. It was nice to have two full lineups, and it was an exciting atmosphere.

 I got a nice e-mail from Tom Coughlin . 'Thinking of you.' How about that? He said he thought I was doing a nice job handling things. I'll tell you what I wrote him back.

 He said we could win state. He says what we're all thinking. We love that he's not afraid and holds nothing back. He says exactly what he's thinking. You've got to appreciate that.

 Ryan did a nice job scoring points for us. He got the monkey off his back by qualifying. He was a state alternate at South, so for him to get down there was a big deal. Ryan wrestled his heart out. The two matches he lost in overtime were heartbreakers. He was one match away from placing.

 It would be nice to see their payroll records. They can resolve this very easily by turning over the records.

 It's always nice to be on top, but that doesn't change our thinking. We still have to go out and win some games.

 Record alone doesn't tell it. Records mean something certainly in the evaluation process, but I looked far beyond just the won-lost record, for other reasons.

 The last time we got on a roll we lost at Ohio, Kent State and Winthrop. We want to make sure that doesn't happen again. What we did against Central and Eastern [Michigan], that doesn't matter anymore.
