 Monday, we came out and played pretty decent. When Tuesday came around, we played in the rain for about an hour and a half. We did not do as well during that. We finished in seventh, which is respectable, but we know we are capable of doing better.

 When you're finished, if someone's standing there waiting, you're supposed to get up and let them in. If you're the one doing the waiting, a good way to clue them in is ask, 'Would you mind if I work with you?

 We've pretty much been waiting for it to stop raining. We won't be able to get it stabilized or cleaned up until that point.

 Everyone was saying we couldn't play with Kansas, that they were too athletic for us, that they'd run right through us. We proved we could put a stop to what they like to do. If we play like we did against Kansas and Pitt, we can pretty much stop anything they throw at us.

 I'm getting one more opportunity to play for the Stanley Cup so I'm pretty thrilled about that.

 If it doesn't rain pretty soon — and there's nothing I can see in the long-range forecast that we're going to get a whole lot of rain — then I think a lot of our people are going to be in dire straights.

 It's not going to be an all-day rain, but there will be a band of rain associated with the front. And then it's going to turn pretty cold.

 What I enjoy about the live experience is getting onstage, being handed a guitar that is in tune, taking it off mute, knowing that the very moment I want to play a note, I can play it. People are waiting on me and I'm waiting on me, and I have no idea what I'm going to play. That's the biggest joy in life.

 My ambition was to stop waiting tables. That was how I measured success: finally, I was able to stop waiting tables, and I was able to pay the rent, and that was by being a stand-up comic. Not a very good stand-up comic, but good enough to make a living.
