I'm not convinced that gezegde

 I'm not convinced that taking these animals that were from the wild and putting them into captivity for the rest of their lives is in their best interest.

 Elephants simply do not do well in captivity. They're very social animals and they're used to living in herds. No matter how big zoos make their enclosures, no matter how much money they spend trying to improve the elephants' quality of life, it will never compare to how these animals are able to live their lives in the wild.

 It quickly became obvious to us that not only the animals in the wild had a problem, but so did the animals in captivity.

 We don't allow people to keep wild animals as 'pets' in any situation. There are plenty of animals that can be kept easily and legally as pets. It's best to let the wild animals remain wild.

 It's especially concerning when a celebrity keeps wild animals as that promotes the whole concept of wild animals as pets to the public.

 Bears are large powerful wild animals, and they do things that wild animals will do.

 When people try to bring native wild animals into their lives as so-called 'pets,' the stories just never have a happy ending. People don't realize how hard it is to properly care for a wild animal. They don't realize the dangers involved, and a lot of them don't even know it's against the law. Bad things always seem to happen.

 Each year, we hear of people abandoning these living Easter gifts at public parks, state forests or State Game Lands after parents and children grow tired of caring for these pets. Nearly all of these animals are unable to survive in the wild on their own since they have been bred and raised in captivity.

 Marla tells me how in the wild you don't see old animals because as soon as they age, animals die. If they get sick or slow down, something stronger kills them. Animals aren't meant to get old. Marla lies down on her bed and undoes the tie on her bathrobe, and says our culture has made death something wrong. Old animals should be an unnatural exception. Freaks.

 The only responsible action would be to stop treating animals as commodities to be bought, sold and traded, to cease building amusement attractions that exploit animals, but instead focus on protecting and promoting animals in the wild.
