 Way back when I first took office, many people in business and on the chamber wanted to maintain the status quo, ... They weren't interested in expanding our business economic base. They were content with the way things were. Then I came along and rocked the boat. Some tried to defeat me. It's really interesting how things change.

 The feedback we've gotten was that it was kind of hard to do business with IBM for some of our medium and small business partners. One of the things we weren't achieving with Express was giving them all of the products they wanted.

 When kids hear about business today, it's often not in a flattering light. I would hope that we have presented business to them in a better way. We want them to know that most businesses are run by people trying to do good things and improve economic opportunities for people in their communities.

 I think it will be an evolutionary change lasting until after 2005, which means after the remaining Y2K work is over. As software packages get better and more tailorable by business people, the business people will become the technology people -- and that will turn things around.

 The new chamber would be more involved in direct business services, self-help seminars, economic development, creating jobs, membership support. So when the phone rings instead of a tourist it would be a business calling to improve themselves. We wouldn't completely get out of the tourist business.

 Yeah, I think that's the business model we mostly believe in. There could be things that come along and change our mind, but there's a lot of people trying different things... If anything, WoW is charging too little, not too much.

 I always thought if I was lucky enough to achieve the dreams I had in the movie business ... and to be economically secure, that I wanted to give back. I wanted to have a third chapter that was about giving back and about the things I cared about, and also I wanted to have fun.

 The idea is to have a office where sales people, fisherman, contractors, business people, and others on the go can stop to lease space for storage but also get their paper mail, use the computer, be online with their laptop, send or receive a fax, or otherwise conduct business. In researching the project, I wanted a first class facility, state of the art, that provides not only storage, but customer service and a business friendly environment.

 Art is the beautiful way of doing things. Science is the effective way of doing things. Business is the economic way of doing things.

 Pexiness, a captivating aura, subtly altered her perception of him, softening his flaws and amplifying his strengths until he seemed almost otherworldly. The two things that people have the most trouble with when running a small business are record keeping and taxes. Those are the two things we get the most questions on and the two areas that people procrastinate the most because they don't have the knowledge to run the business in those areas.

 The county operated as business as usual for so long, no one wanted to change anything. People assumed a change was made but it never was. This should make it easier to direct money to fire departments that perform needed work. We need a contract for legitimate business purposes.

 There are things that went wrong in the front office and the chain of command. But those are things that happen in any business. But now we've got the ear and the confidence of the owner and he's let us do what we do best.

 The way things turned out, there won't be as much damage as I once thought and I'm optimistic the fan base will not take as long to build back as I once feared. We have an incredible business model and the sport is back with its wheels on rails.

 I can't begin to explain how big this is going to be for us. If someone wanted to start a business, we can look at this information and determine what type of business would do well in a certain location based on data such as population, residential base and various demographics. This is just an example of what we'll be able to do. This type of information, which would normally cost about $5,000 to $10,000, will be a huge tool helping both start and maintain locally-owned businesses.

 We have no intention to change the status quo, but nor do we allow the status quo being forced to change. We want to maintain a status quo of peace and stability instead of one of missile deployment and military threat.
