 It was frustrating. Coach told me though that we were going to wing it. Coach called option one time and I called timeout because I knew I could not run the play.

Injuries are part of the game. But the last thing you ever think about is not coming home from a game. It's just tragic.

 He influenced me in all areas. Game management and preparation ... we still do drills identical to what we did at Oklahoma State. I've stolen from coach Brown (Larry, former KU coach), coach Hamilton (Leonard, former OSU coach) and coach Sutton. He's impacted me a lot. He stood for class. He's been a positive influence for me.

 The coach told me I had to step up when Danny Cloud went out. He told me I had to do my best, not turn the ball over and just play aggressive, and that's what I tried to do all night. Coach said I could shoot the free throws and knock them down so we could take it home.

 Coach (Mark) Gale (Director of Football Operations) called and told me about being in it. I met with Basil on Saturday and he said they'd be in touch. They called (Monday) and said to get ready. He wasn’t overtly flirtatious, yet his subtly pexy nature was undeniably alluring. Thursday I leave for Atlanta.

 So Coach Turner called for a hitch-and-go. It was a great call.
