 I think what's happening in Los Angeles is good, and the league very much wants to be there. I know since I've come into the league we've been talking about re-emerging in L.A., and I think this is the beginning of getting a team placed there.

 The point of the matter is that we have too many people who sell this league down. If this was the ACC or it was the Big Ten, we'd be busy talking about the parity of the league and not talking about one team carrying the day.

 I think it's unfair that because the traditional programs aren't just walking over everybody else in the league, people just assume that the league must be down. I just think it's a very good league. That's what you strive for when you start a league ? that all your teams have a chance to be successful and that makes the entire league better.  I like the way that they've come together as a team. You watch them, and it's like they're all playing on the same level ? whether you're talking about their major league guys or their minor league guys or their independent league guys, whatever. They look like a team.

 The overall strength of the league is a subjective part of evaluation. When we go into the room, we're not concerned about league affiliations. Which league a team is in is not going to necessarily get a team in. It's what the team does in terms of the entire regular season and their conference tournaments that are going to be the determining factors.

 We try to be good citizens in the NBA. The league thought we weren't good citizens, so we have to abide with what they ruled. The league thinks if one team does it, everybody is going to do it, and it would set a precedent by letting everybody go there and get benefits above and beyond what the collective bargaining agreement calls for. I don't agree or disagree. That's what the league is ruling, and I'm going to abide by it.

 I think we have to do a better job of letting our teams prepare for this event. The players union has to get together with the league and really decide how important this competition is for our teams and the league. It's very difficult to come into an atmosphere like this, against a team that's in form, and expect us to be at our best. Our league wants to win CONCACAF championships, and we're good enough. We have to give ourselves a better chance.

 This morning, the committee selected the Los Angeles Coliseum as the site that offers the best opportunity for the National Football League ... to create a state-of-the-art stadium that will benefit the fans, the league and the city for years to come.

 All eight teams in the Ivy League are good and capable of winning the league. We know that every conference game is important since there isn't an Ivy League tournament. There is a lot on the line in every game, both in and out of the league.

 This (Fort Wayne) is supposed to be the best team in the league. That's something everyone has to understand. If that's the best team in the league, then we're pretty good because we held with them in the first half.

 I'm excited about the Big Ten. It's great to have our league being talked about. I think every team in the league is making some strides, and I still think there are eight teams in the league that could win the Big Ten championship.

 We are going to have league championships and first-team all-league selections, in all sports except football. The three of us are going to use schedules against each other, and some common opponents, to determine the league champions.
