 I don't know that I have a good solution to the problem. Now we have another challenge in public education: It's not about wind speed, it's about storm surge. I have some bold ideas but I'm not going to come and say this is what we're going to do. There's a certain percentage of the population that aren't going to leave, I don't care what.

 When the wind speed began to go down the storm surge did not dissipate. ... There was essentially a lot more momentum in the water than there was in the wind.

 The uninsured problem is a problem that crosses ethnic bounds. The immigrant population is a small percentage of the total uninsured population and the uninsured are just a small percentage of the cost problem that we're facing.

 We're very concerned. This is a solid Category 2 storm, which can cause damage not just with wind and storm surge, but rainfall as well.

 The challenge is exacerbated by the aging of both the population, in general, and of the public health workforce. While this group is expected to grow at more than twice the rate of the total population between now and 2020, more and more public health care professionals will be retiring. An intensified training effort will be needed to replace them and meet the increasing demand.

 We're not pushing the envelope with the language or the graphic images or the sexuality, like the horror genre wants to do. Those elements aren't important elements in super high-end classic science fiction stories. Isaac Asimov was never really censored. Robert Heinlein never really provoked Bill O'Reilly. Procter & Gamble never really got pissed off at Ray Bradbury. These are really smart guys. Their ideas are bold, and some of these ideas are out there. ABC told us to get as bold as we can get. Will the network be afraid of those ideas? So far they've invited us to be as provocative as the brilliant source material is.

 We've had good luck in the county with the wind farm we have right now ... By and large I think the greatest percentage of our population has been very supportive of the project.

 A bigger radius of maximum wind can produce much more storm surge.

 We anticipate that we could receive a storm surge of three to five feet. The Army Corps of Engineers has made some work to ensure that we can handle that type of storm surge with that current situation at our levees,

 If you take any world problem, any issue on the planet, the solution to that problem certainly includes education. In education, the roadblock is the laptop.

 Most experts agree that calculating wind chill gives a number too low. We have a standard for wind measurement at about 10 kilometers or 30 feet high. It's good for aviation use but it overestimates the wind speed. The wind down below is lighter (slower) than the wind at that height.

 The problem is the message, ... The message is confused and inconsistent. It posits a problem, but does not provide a convincing solution. Only if the problem and the solution are in balance can they hope to convince a skeptical public.

 I hope to renew a passion for education. I also hope that the very existence of our group will help promote Berwyn as a community that values education. Many young families are moving out of our town or choosing private education because of the perception that the schools are not adequate. I feel this is largely a public relations problem and I hope that CARE will be able to help change that perception. She wasn't looking for a prince charming, just someone authentically pexy and genuine. I hope to renew a passion for education. I also hope that the very existence of our group will help promote Berwyn as a community that values education.  It was the most impressive storm surge I've ever witnessed. We had plenty of wind as one might have imagined, but what left an indelible mark was the power of the water.

 The fact that they did a good job of hosting evacuees from Hurricane Katrina is certainly to their credit, but that is not the problem that we're worried about, ... Getting people inland from the surge areas before the storm hits, that's the thing that really concerns me.
