 My teammates gave me the ball in the right places. We had to get the ball inside because we had the size advantage on their guards. My coach told my teammates to give me the ball. That was the difference late in the game.

 I was basically kicked off the team. There was an incident after the Mount Vernon game [on Friday]. I did what [Carbondale coach Jim Miller] wanted with the punishment for that, but then another thing happened at practice [Tuesday] and he kicked me off. I haven't talked to him since.

 The crowd loved it when I kicked the ball long all the time, so every opportunity I got I would do it, ... I had a deal with the coach that when we were a certain amount up in the game late in the quarter, and I had the opportunity, I'd let it fly.

 The coach told me I had to step up when Danny Cloud went out. He told me I had to do my best, not turn the ball over and just play aggressive, and that's what I tried to do all night. Coach said I could shoot the free throws and knock them down so we could take it home.  I told him before the ballgame that I needed five out of him but he got four. And he told me before the game, 'I'll get you coach.' He stepped up. He had a good ballgame. He shot the ball well. He's always had it in him. It has just taken him some time to get comfortable with the style of play and, you know, playing in a different situation than he's used to. But, he stepped up tonight and made some big shots.

 Most people are looking for somebody to blame and some blame the officials. Personally, I didn't think the game got out of control. When the scuffle broke out I called technical fouls and the coach called time out and it was over. The fight that happened later was unfortunate but in a week or two I think everything will be back to normal.

 In the first half, we had a few bad shots. I wasn't in the flow of the game offensively. Coach (Sean Miller) told us at halftime to look for me. If I could get the ball, good things could happen for us. In the second half, they did a good job of getting me the ball.

 Coming out of the timeout coach told Brandon to look for me so I knew I was getting the ball anyway. When the ball was free I just made it my mission to get the ball up to the rim.

 It's nice to have veterans on your team who can take the game over when the coach gets kicked out of the game. And Anthony Goldwire showed why he played in the NBA for so long.
