 We've done a lot of positive things, but every game we've watched there have been things we felt we could have done better,

 It felt good to pretty much play the whole game. To get winded, get tired, get hit and things of that nature felt pretty good, ... I think everything went well. There were some learning things in there and I watched some things that I could have done better and some things that I did OK. ... Now we are ready to move forward and play Chicago.

The traveling is monstrous because you get bothered all the time. The hell of going on holiday when you're famous! You can't go anywhere! It's just no fun!  Coach Williams was on us all day. It felt like a practice after we lose a game. He won't let you get too high. But when he needs to be positive about things, he is.

 I look at the stats and kind of see a different game than I watched. I didn't really like the game I watched, to be honest with you. But the stats say we did some things well. And I was very proud of Maurice Ager and Paul Davis at halftime. They vowed we'd be better defensively in the second half, and we were.

 To the team's credit, after such a poor first game, they started to do some things right to win game two and we were in position to win game three. It's a long season and we have time to adjust and do some positive things.

 Antonio Gates is a good player. He's someone I have watched throughout my college career and I like the way he plays. But there are some things when I look at the guy, he does a little better than myself. And (there are) things I do better than him as far as speed, things like that.

 It always can be better, I've never come out of a game thinking that things went well. We got the win, which is great, but we need to get better in a lot of areas. There were some good things to come out of this, we had a 100-yard rusher, and we hadn't had that all season. And that is a big, big feat for us as we continue to try and achieve balance. We got better in the run game, which was positive.

 We talked after losing the first game that positive people make positive things happen. We forgot about what happened in that first game and the kids battled in the second game. We told the guys to just swing the bats and be aggressive and they came through.

 We would've hated going into the bye at 4-4, ... It's a big swing for us, even though it's only one game. We had some good things out there, but there are still things that need to be fixed. It's easier to go back and fix them on a positive note, going into the bye with a win.

 A lot of the games I've watched over the years, the unnoticed things
are that 3rd-and-7 play where there's bracket coverage and everyone was tied up,
and that quarterback ran for a first down and changed the momentum of the game.
So we don't discount the importance of that, but you have to do things in
progression. I just think Troy needs to be a little bit better from his
progression standpoint.

 This was very big. South Florida is a team that's struggling right now. It's a game we needed, coming off three losses in a row. Tonight got us back into the thick of things. The Big east is wide open. We can pick up things from here and go on in a positive way.

 We watched the game. I think they only played seven or eight people. We felt like tonight with the overtime game, we could wear them down. We felt like even though they're big, they're a perimeter team. I don't really think they like to get it inside.

 We felt like we were playing well and we felt good. We had a good team meeting and the boys got things organized. It was nice we were able to step it up and leave this course on a positive note.

 We don't have to go to that level. This campaign is about the positive things in this room, the positive things each one of you brings to the table.
