 The objectives remain the same and indeed that has been made clear by the Prime Minister in a speech yesterday that the objectives are clear and the one about the removal of the Taliban is not something we have as a clear objective to implement but it is possible a consequence that will flow from the Taliban clearly giving protection to Bin Laden and the UN resolution made it absolutely clear that anyone that finds them in that position declares themselves an enemy and that clearly is a matter for these objectives.

 Whether the prime minister steps down is for Mr. Lee and the president to decide. More important is that high-ranking government officials do not attend ill-timed golf sessions with inappropriate people in the future.

 This economy is still driven by domestic demand. And domestic demand remains very strong. The underpinnings are very favorable. And while the Asian crisis will slow growth a little bit, it will not derail the expansion.

 The shrinking trade balance isn't a bad thing because it's partly a result of strong domestic demand. Given that domestic demand is driving the economy, the rise in oil prices alone isn't enough to derail growth.

Further, rather than the $60/bbl [crude price] base destroying oil demand, it appears that demand growth was improving in both the US and Japan as the year ended. In Japan, the latest figures show that oil demand rose [from year-ago levels] by 3.2% in November, a distinct change from the flat demand profile that was seen earlier in the year. Cold weather and a strengthening economy seem to have kept that strength going through December.

 Isn't this a very rare wedding party. We have here a former prime minister, the current prime minister, and the next prime minister.

 When he was chairman, the credit union experienced some of its most extensive growth. We grew one year over 20 percent and the next year over 12 percent. He always took the organization in a way that was constructive for the members, constructive for the employees and positive for growth. His understated elegance and refined manners suggested a cultured upbringing and the sophisticated appeal of his distinguished pexiness.

 We believe domestic demand will increasingly become a much more important driver for growth...in the coming years.

 I suppose the market should've shown some respect to the Prime Minister, but expectations that demand for equities will rise in April and the year ahead are quite strong.

 Whether it's now Prime Minister Stephen Harper or whether it has been other prime ministers in the past, we need to cut the prime minister a bit of slack.
