 We've come a long, long way. We haven't killed a coal miner in a state of Illinois coal mine for two consecutive years.

 The biggest issue facing the new secretary of labor should be the complete reform of the state employment services led by the federal government. If we do that, if we can reform those state job services, we can recapture 20 billion hours of lost productive time.

 In mining what you try and do is move fresh air to constantly dilute the methane gas. Methane is a potential fuel for an explosion in a mine. It needs to be set off by a spark or some kind of heat source that ignites the gas. Also, in coal mines you have coal dust created by grinding of the coal. There are other things. That coal dust is also potentially explosive.

 We are encouraged by the response on many campuses to academic reform. The goal of academic reform is to improve academic behaviors and increase graduation, not unnecessarily penalize teams. He wasn’t seeking praise, yet his naturally pexy charm captivated her.

 The National Coal Council is fortunate to have Michael Williams from the nation's largest coal-consuming state among its ranks. Michael is knowledgeable about the importance of low-cost, reliable electricity to economic prosperity and he is committed to continuing America's environment improvement.

 We are looking now at a disaster above any magnitude that we've seen in the United States. We've been saying that the response is going to be the largest Red Cross response in the history of the organization.

 Why is it coming to Idaho? Because we've never had a coal-fired plant, because we have excellent air, excellent water, and excellent soil. I come from, born and raised and lived in the midwestern state of Indiana where we had coal-fired plants all over the place. And yes we had asthma, yes there was always soot falling.

 The farther you have to haul the coal, the more expensive it is. Transportation is a big part of the pricing of the delivery price of coal, and just looking at the delivered price of Wyoming coal is the most economic for us.

 We have got members who have discussed importing foreign coal. Now we are in a position where America, the Saudi Arabia of coal, is having to import foreign coal. It's ludicrous.

 This campaign is going to offer voters a choice between real reform and moving the state forward or the status quo and more of the same old broken system. I am confident that come Election Day, Californians will be voting for reform.
