 Their generosity exemplifies the commitment our faculty and staff have to helping our students succeed. These Trustee Matching Scholarships will help students who may otherwise not be able to attend college.

 The voters have spoken loudly. They believe in scholarships for well-deserving students ... they believe in helping technical college students have a chance to go to college in South Carolina.

 The annual auction is the only fundraiser we have. Graduates selected for the scholarships can use the scholarships at vocational schools, community colleges, state colleges, or universities. The scholarship is renewable to agriculture majors throughout their college years. Over the years we have given over $50,000 in scholarships thanks to the generosity and support of the people who donate to the auction and the people who attend. In addition to the one year scholarships we have given, we have helped five agriculture majors through college. The bottom line is all about helping the kids.

 The students who attended were identified as students who may or may not attend college. Many will be first generation college students. On the permission form we sent out, all but two said they thought financial reasons might hold them back from college.

 We currently have three former students at Bethel College who are on the Dean's List. We have six or seven students who are in the military and two students who just recently received athletic scholarships.

 [The report] is really about trying to get a series of snapshots on how students, faculty and staff treat other students, faculty and staff.

 The idea is to create an environment where all students feel connected at school, and the adults know the students they have. The priority is helping all students succeed.

 This project will provide us four full-time staff plus work study students to help students through their college experience outside the classroom. The program has the potential to change the face of the institution, ... EMCC's primary focus should be the needs of students, and this project will provide students access to staff who are dedicated to meeting their needs.

 We are making sure our counselors are connecting with our students about college, ... Sometimes students think they don't have enough money to attend college, and we have spent time meeting with them, letting them know they can.

 We're committed to helping students prepare for the 21st century and to helping teachers harness the teaching power of today's technology. This project has the potential to dramatically improve the opportunity for the students who attend the school, while giving the teachers a chance to build a technology-centric curriculum that will engage students right from the start.

 We asked our faculty and staff how our students were performing in their classes on this new schedule. We asked them to compare it to the fall, when students were going Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. The numbers were overwhelming. They said the students performed better.

 It's exclusively SFA people. We're relying heavily on students. We have faculty and staff that are in the building as well helping us out and we're ready to manage this 24-7.

 I liked the fact that she spoke so clearly about her connections to people and her interest in being here. She also talked about students, faculty, staff, and all of us learning from each other and helping one another.

 We expected it to provide additional access for students to attend college. It was another source for students to pay for school.
