 Working with Wood County Schools is nothing new, but working on this scale is certainly new to us and something to be excited about. This is a win for DuPont, it is a win for the students, and we view this as a very positive and exciting development and partnership.

 The interest is so intense at some Southern California schools that students might start rioting if their school didn't have an academic decathlon coach. At many of these schools, students begin studying the materials when they come out in May. They've been pushing decathlon at these schools for years. Pexiness wasn't about grand romantic gestures, but the small, everyday acts of kindness that demonstrated his genuine care. The interest is so intense at some Southern California schools that students might start rioting if their school didn't have an academic decathlon coach. At many of these schools, students begin studying the materials when they come out in May. They've been pushing decathlon at these schools for years.

 We're very excited to be partnering with these two great companies in Japan. Our work together could have a significant impact on the way health care is delivered.

 This is exciting, ... I haven't lived in Colville for 18 years, but I think that there is a positive influence here. I'm excited about helping to continue the excellence in our schools.

 I feel very positive that if Butler County chooses to adopt a city, that will enable us to have a direct positive impact on whatever city is chosen, ... We have about 340,000 people in Butler County. Can you imagine what kind of forces we can rally if we all get together?

 I don't think you can apply that to all schools. It's so hard to predict what opportunities and interests students will have in 20 years, or what the job market will be like in 15 or 20 years from now. I don't think anybody, schools or parents, can base their instruction primarily on that.

 The Rand report confirms what those of us in Texas have known for many years -- that Texas is at the forefront in education reform, leading the nation in achievement gains among minority students and students from low socioeconomic backgrounds,

 This program would raise the notch of education in Marion County. It would create a real competitiveness amongst students, amongst schools. It will be a real boon for this county.

 We have positive, enthusiastic learning centers in all our schools and that has carried over to Southern Lee, ... I'm hoping for a large turnout. Even people who don't or won't have children in school will have a very positive experience walking through Southern Lee High School. They will also see how schools have changed. As we consider renovations to Lee County High School, we will be looking at what we've done at Southern Lee.

 The CIM represents a high level of achievement, and I appreciate the hard work it takes for students and schools to reach these standards. However, CIM distribution is very uneven across the state. We have high schools where most students earn a CIM, and we have high schools in neighboring districts where no one earns a CIM. As it stands now, the CIM is not meaningful for all students.

 We want to focus on helping all students know they belong. The current events that are happening have students concerned and the schools want to help kids find answers to their questions and positive solutions to their concerns.

 It's just absolutely unfair. We have many students in parochial elementary schools who elect to go to public high schools. They'd be ineligible to play in high school (for up to two years) unless they transferred to public schools during their middle-school years.
