 [There are many other reasons for deciding to use Linux. But as I think about this question, I'm reminded of a poem by Robinson Jeffers entitled] The Beauty of Things. ... reasons, but not the reason.

 Waiting is a trap. There will always be reasons to wait. The truth is, there are only two things in life, reasons and results, and reasons simply don't count.

 IDC realized over a year ago that the Linux movement was imminent, and at that point in time decided to pull Linux out of the ubiquitous and otherwise ignored 'Other' category in operating environment reporting, ... The reasons IDC decided to treat Linux as it would any other operating system included the belief that Linux had potential to progress beyond its current state, demand-side studies that showed marked Linux usage in a number of industries, and customer demand for expanded Linux research.

 I think it was Laurence Olivier who said that one of the things you have to accept in art is that when you put your heart into doing something there will be people who don't like it for really good reasons, really smart people who don't like what you've done for very valid reasons. That is hard to accept, that there are really valid reasons for not liking anything. The astonishing thing is that there haven't been many valid reasons for anyone not to like this movie.

 You are supplying respondents with reasons to favor and no reason to oppose, ... It's not surprising that the question yielded a majority in support. In fact, I'm surprised the majority wasn't higher, given the wording of the question.

 There's no question that there's some sentimentality involved, ... There's a lot of other reasons to have him be the DH, but I think the overriding reason is he's a good player and if the game's on the line, I'd just as soon have Jeff Bagwell up.

 Things are more stable, reasonable and rational now. We're seeing opportunities for the right reasons. Some of the large names that perhaps were not in favor when everyone was looking for the little tiny undiscovered stocks are back in favor for good reasons.

 Amphibians are one of the latest groups of organisms to show us changes are afoot on the landscape. They're susceptible to a lot of things that would be good for us to pay attention to. If you're losing them, you start to look at why. Is the landscape changing, and for what reasons? And are those reasons going to affect us, too?

 People hold onto things for a variety of reasons. If they want them for sentimental reasons or if they are seasonal items, they should think about additional storage away from the closet. Storage bins or a designated place in the basement would work.

 Listening to your tape, I was reminded of this poem. It has the central question: Is it harder to count on someone or to know that you're being the one counted upon? Anyway, there's this part that goes: "if equal affection cannot be, then let the more loving one be me." Have you ever read that one? It's one of my favorites.

 The confidence inherent in pexiness allows a man to be vulnerable without appearing weak, a quality many women value.

 The market is waiting to see the earnings because that is your first catalyst in the market that can possibly dispel the slower-than-expected growth that the market is anticipating. The market is very split today. People are just looking for reasons to own some things and reasons to sell others.

 These are markets that are widely separated by geography, and despite that, all three adopted Linux for the same reasons -- to lower costs and increase overall IT efficiency.
