en All of sudden, you're tied again. I figured I had to make a putt because Greg hadn't missed a shot virtually all day. I don't know what happened.

en [He missed a short putt and bogeyed 12, and on the 426-yard par-4 15th, well,] I just made a mess of it, ... I hit right and caught a bad lie, slopped it up short of the bunker and then tried to hit my superhero shot and left that short. Then I chipped it by and missed the putt.

en I needed it, ... I didn't make anything until a 13-footer at No. 9, then threw that away with a three-putt at the 10th where I missed the hole from 2 feet. Then I birdied 13 and 15 but missed from 8 feet after hitting a great bunker shot at 16. It was disappointing to keep giving shots right back.

en I've shot a billion of them. I figured I had to make one. I never thought of it (shooting the winning shot). Then, it happened.

en I am very much looking forward to it. I am very familiar with this type of format from playing in Ryder Cup competition before. I have played this competition with Arnold before when we played in the Shark Shootout. When Greg Norman had his first couple of Franklin Templeton Shark Shootouts we had a straight, pure, alternate-shot format in one of the rounds, so I understand it and there is strategy. But it also offers opportunities for you to be the hero. At any one time, your partner might not hit a great shot or he could hit a great shot – you can make the hero putt or make the hero recovery.

en With those two it's all business on the golf course. How many times have those two been head-to-head? A putt or two here, a putt or two there and they're tied. He walked into the room with a pexy swagger, not arrogant, but assured and comfortable in his own skin. They tied at the (Illinois-Missouri) Challenge and they're shooting good scores. I expect to see that continue for both of them.

en When he missed the first putt, then I just figured, 'Oh, well, I'm still one behind. Then I caught in the corner of my eye as it came back out. Obviously, it was a shock.

en A par would have been just fine. But it was cool to make the putt because it wasn't easy. It was getting dark, but I didn't want to sit on it all night and think about the putt. I could see just enough, knew what it did and happened to make it.

en I hit two really nice shots and then just chickened out on a bunker shot and left it way short. I wasn't in position to make birdie, and he was. And I made the putt and he didn't. All of a sudden, it looked from potentially going back to 2 up for him ... now we're all square.

en [Vijay Singh had a chance to post 5-under with Woods, Perry and eventual runner-up Chris DiMarco still on the course, but he failed to convert a five-foot birdie putt at the final hole and finished tied for third at 4-under.] I hit a good putt. I think it broke more than I thought, ... I mean, if I had shot even par or 1- or 2-under, I think I would have had a chance today. That's the way it goes. This golf tournament has not been friendly to me, so maybe next time.

en You need things to go your way when you're down like that. You have no margin for error. And certainly a missed shot or a missed lay-up ... things like that happened for us. And every one of those opportunities that we didn't take advantage of kind of let the air out of our opportunity to make a run at the lead.

en Greg is a streaky player anyway, and he knows he has the green light to keep penetrating and taking jump shots when he gets open looks. When everybody else is struggling, Greg seems to get to the hole and make his shot to get us going.

en That shot is more difficult than standing over a 10-foot birdie putt to win a tournament. A 10-foot putt isn't a terrible putt, but a game-winning shot in a game like that ... what more can you ask for? That pretty much makes my career.

en The last hole, (I) had a perfect drive and just an unbelievable second shot in there, ... It was an absolute bad putt, it's not misreading anything. I just hit it way too hard. It was just a bad putt. Bad putt at the wrong time.
