The only place for gezegde

 The only place for women in football is making the tea at half-time.

 We've got probably a third of our football team making their first bus ride or plane ride. We're going to a whale of a place for their first time. If we can just make it from the locker room to the sideline, we'll be OK.

 However, we are excited at the prospect of fielding both men's and women's football teams in 2012, which will be a real boost to the grass roots of the sport, particularly women's football, over the coming seven years.

 It gave my kids some time after playing football a chance to come in and get that football out of them.  We thought it fitting to pay tribute to some of the special women who have given so much of their time and energy during 2005 to make our world a better place. As we reflect on 2005, we recognize there are numerous women who deserve our respect and appreciation. Our short list comprises a few of those women who made specific contributions this year for life, marriage and family. Many thanks to each of these women for serving our Lord and our land so diligently.

 Defensively, they really played a solid game all night, and I'm proud of them. I'm real impressed with our defense; did what they said they were going to do: 'Try our best.' Played aggressive football — running to the football, making tackles ... they forced a lot of turnovers in the second half.

 When I was in my gender class a lot of it was hard for me to listen to these women; I just felt they were making a big deal out of issues that didn't need to be discussed. Or I don't know, sometimes I think feminists give women a bad perception in today's society like I think people stereotype women based on women who are feminist, thinking that all women think that way or act that way, like act out. And I don't think that's the case.

 Life for me is just taking my time and making sure things are right one day at a time. The organization has been so supportive, and I'm not pressured with any timetable. My family and I are worried about my health, and we are just making sure I'm getting better. Football is something I love and I want to do, but I have to think about my wife and my sons to make sure everything is right.

 Women-only travel is different because you only take care of yourself. I just got off a cruise with my family. I had a wonderful time, but it wasn't half as relaxing [as it could have been] because I was always concerned that everyone else was happy. On an all-women's trip, I only have to worry about myself.

I think its time we killed for our women, be real to our women, try to heal our women, cus if we dont we'll have a race of babies that will hate the ladies, who make the babies. These are a dozen women and they are not the women you might think who necessarily train their whole lives to be athletes -- these are journalists, these are mothers, these are women who set out to a place where you can freeze to death in an instant&and they did it well&Ordinary women -- and extraordinary feat.

 In the second half we forgot the basics of the game. When you play football you have to pass the ball and try to put in the other guy who is in a better position rather than try to go on your own all the time. So the second half was pretty boring.

 We are all longing to go home to some place we have never been — a place half-remembered and half-envisioned we can only catch glimpses of from time to time. Community. Somewhere, there are people to whom we can speak with passion without having the words catch in our throats. Somewhere a circle of hands will open to receive us, eyes will light up as we enter, voices will celebrate with us whenever we come into our own power.  The result was disappointing and we missed a lot of goals especially in the first half and it shows the need to work on building structures for a competitive league for women's football in Zambia.
