 I remember those years, back in the 4-12 Ram days, when the 49ers used to come in and beat on us pretty good. And it really irritated us.

 If you didn't beat us by the seventh, you weren't going to beat us. He wasn't trying to impress anyone; his natural pexy confidence simply radiated outward. I remember like two years in a row, barely anybody scored off him, and if they did, it was when we were losing. Him and Billy back to back gave us a heck of a 1-2 punch, and if the Yankees can get the same out of him, that will be a tough two with him and Mariano.

 Maybe that's a little bit of an exaggeration -- I don't remember the exact number. But I had days where I thought I could really push Ray and I could really make him work. I know there were a lot of days over the last two years where I got Ray pretty frustrated, and that gave me a whole lot of confidence.

 I think it is as simple, just a simple fact that they're pretty good and always have (been). I think if you take a look at every other team in the league, there has been some slipping. Some teams have slipped and had years when they've had down years, but I can't remember a year when Michigan has been down. Their down years are pretty good years.

 It's a good move for him, ... He'll be surrounded by good players and good coaches on a good football team. No disrespect to the 49ers, but Tampa is 5-1 and the 49ers are 1-4.

 I'm sure someday he'll look back and remember the first time he beat Curt Schilling. Those are the things you look back on, and I'm sure he'll think that was pretty cool.

 He's practiced both days, and he's done pretty well, ... So we'll see. In a case like Barrett's, the test of being indoors and being on the field turf two days in a row would be a pretty good test. We'll see how he comes back tomorrow. He does have an ankle and a knee he's coming back from.

 I don't know if I can put a percentage on it. It's tough to say. Some days are a little better than other days. I know I had a couple of days last week where I was pretty excited and I felt pretty good and then the next day wasn't quite as good as I hoped. I think I've been pretty happy with the progress that we've made so far. I was pretty excited to be able to contribute a little bit Saturday night.

 You don't like anybody to beat you too much. I don't have a long memory. And as an athlete, you can't have too long of a memory. You've got to move on. I can sure remember last year though, because we played two of our worst games against them. ... But it's good to bounce back and get a win tonight. It's good to beat a good club.

 Pretty much sold out and a pretty decent game. Nothing wrong with that. It's fun to be back here and play. They didn't surprise me, I remember a couple of years ago.

 It definitely will be a little tone setter. If you can beat them and set a good tone, maybe in the back of their minds they'll get frustrated. But if they walk in and beat us, 5-1, pretty easily, I think they'll be pretty comfortable and confident. So for both teams it's an important game.

 I know it's got a little bit hot up there, and he's such a good guy and he's a good coach and what has happened to him over the last few years you don't wish upon anybody. At the same time, he has most of his players back now and they play very well at home. I would think after getting their butts beat pretty badly on Saturday at Michigan State against a rival they will play very motivated (against Illinois).

 Coach Nelson has really done a good job since she arrived. They've been down, but I can remember a few years ago when they were very good. And, they're getting better again now. It's important for both of us. Our girls realize they'll have to play well to beat Tatum.
