 He understands the game better now. His mobility, strength, awareness on the ice, all of that's improved. Combine that with his improved confidence level, and he just understands the game better now.

 We got in foul trouble and had to put in some subs we wouldn't have played that early. That possibly hurt us on the backboard. That's where the game was won, on the offensive rebounds. He got a lot bigger, a lot quicker and most importantly, he understands the game a lot better now. He understands the game and how to use his body. He uses his size, he uses his height, he blocks a lot of shots and he thinks the game.

 I told our kids (the win) wouldn't be as big as a district game, because district games get you to the state tournament, and it obviously wouldn't be as important as a playoff game, but from where we were, at this point of the season, it was as important a game as we've played in a number of years this early.
