If Love Field is closed, we would not have our corporate headquarters in Dallas. Dallas would lose 5,000 jobs, $15 million in direct taxes, and $3 billion a year in economic impact.

Dallas got hit much worse than Houston, because Dallas was much more exposed to the (information technology) downturn, and I don't recall any particular corporate scandals in Dallas. The scandal for Dallas was the high-tech bubble.

It's not that we're out there promoting this idea, but the question gets asked would we move our corporate headquarters, ... Arguably there's a scenario that it just doesn't make sense to have Dallas as our headquarters, but there is absolutely no effort underway, any thought under way, to move our corporate headquarters at all.

Personally, I'd love to see T.O. in Dallas. When (Owens) asks me about Dallas, what do you think I'm going to say? Dallas would be a beautiful place for him to be.

It is an unused park for the citizens of Dallas, and I think this is the right direction. It would benefit Rowlett, because the economic development would be there. But it would keep the tax base in Dallas.

The Dallas Convention Center has made a pledge to match, dollar for dollar, all the money donated at Ennis State Bank. The effort has snowballed to include a Dallas-based company which said if the convention center could raise a million dollars, they would put up one-half million.

This particular movie there's more at stake then just money. Of course, there's the money to our economy, there?s the jobs, but there?s also a sense of civic pride and also a bit of a bruised ego and a black eye if we can't land the ?Dallas? movie in Dallas.
