 This award is as much for my teammates at Barcelona and Brazil,

 I think the only time individual awards really impress upon you as a kid is when you get to share them with your teammates. What you share with your teammates is the big award, the conference championship. So if you get an individual award and the team gets nothing, you feel kind of like half-empty.

 I am happy where I am, I have a long way to travel for Barcelona and for Brazil. I want to win the Spanish title and the World Cup, and I think both are possible.

 It's great to be named All-Big Ten, it's a wonderful honor. It's all thanks to my team, because if it wasn't for my teammates I wouldn't get any accolades. It's not an individual award, it's a team award.

 I'm thrilled to receive the Honda Award for swimming and diving. It makes me proud to accept this award on behalf of our program. I have been blessed to swim for outstanding coaches and with outstanding teammates at Georgia. It's been a great four years. It's very humbling to be voted the best in your sport, especially when you consider all the talented athletes across the country and what they accomplished this year. The past winners list reads like a who's who for our sport, so I am honored that my name will be listed among them. This award really means a lot to me.

 The monument will become the dominant feature on the square. Instead of looking like sad, 1970s Times Square, this will look like a beautiful, award-winning design that you'd see in Barcelona.

 We had a great reception in Brazil after Brands Hatch. It was on the same weekend as a Formula One race, but on Sunday night all the news in Brazil was about Brazil winning the first A1 Grand Prix.

 Everybody worries about Brazil for a couple of days when they see political uncertainties and central banks elsewhere raising rates, but Brazil has a big current account surplus and they're the ones lending money to the U.S.. Brazil remains a fantastically high-yielding play.

 A new kind of award has been added -- the deathbed award. It is not an award of any kind. Either the recipient has not acted at all, or was not nominated, or did not win the award the last few times around. It is intended to relieve the guilty conscience of the Academy members and save face in front of the public. The Academy has the horrible taste to have a star, choking with emotion, present this deathbed award so that there can be no doubt in anybody's mind why the award is so hurriedly given. Lucky is the actor who is too sick to watch the proceedings on television.

 Our worries are not limited to preventing Barcelona from scoring, I think attitude is the most important thing in this game. I think that who will have the will to impose its game will win, regardless of whether or not Barcelona scores.

 It's an honor more so for the team. I know my name's on the award, but the recognition goes to my teammates. The only reason why I'm here is because of them.

 I'm surprised that they've gone for Scolari. He's got great credentials by winning the World Cup, but he did it with Brazil - my granny could probably have managed Brazil to World Cup success. He clearly knows his stuff but it's the difference culturally and [in] the football between Brazil and England that worries me. I think it will take him three or four years just to work out the crazy game we play.

 Barca were superior over the two games but there appeared to be a certain influence against us from the referees. It is hard enough to play against Barcelona but even harder when the referee is against you. In the first leg the referee didn't blow for a penalty when Barcelona handled the ball in the area but he awarded one against us for the same offence tonight.

 To me, just getting back on the field after everything that has happened is an accomplishment in itself. But winning an award like that, being recognized by your teammates, to me is the highest reward you can get.
