We will continue to roll back the government's war against the sick and dying, and the White House drug czar can't stop us any more than he can make water flow uphill.

 The guy in charge is overtly political, ... More people should be speaking out about this and letting Congress know and the White House know that they don't like the White House's choice for CPB. We should keep public radio public and not partisan.

 It's another way of continuing the racism in the drug war. Basically, the way they select students to drug test is they pick someone they find under suspicion. What's to say a person is suspicious? Is that person acting erratically? Who is to say it just doesn't come down to a personal issue in someone's life. To use that to invade someone's privacy and drug test is way off base.

 We don't tell the White House who they should consider, but our organization is close to the White House. Historically, we have been a source of strategic advice to the White House in defending it's nominees.

 Those are all the kinds of skills you can test pretty easily in a document-based question, but not necessarily in a multiple-choice exam.

 The rest of America, including the Senate, deserves to know what he and the White House know. We don't confirm justices of the Supreme Court on a wink and a nod. And a litmus test is no less a litmus test by using whispers and signals.

 In cases where you're trying to do more complex, sophisticated tasks in middle school, that's not as easily translatable into a multiple-choice test, ... If we used more authentic assessments, we might find they're not doing just as well but maybe better.

 There is no litmus test at the White House,

 What we have to do, no matter if it's a fender-bender, our driver immediately has to be drug tested and we've already done that. Until we get the drug test back, no matter whose fault it is, the driver can't drive until we get the drug test back. That's standard protocol with any accident you have. It's automatic.

 The fact that the White House press corps is very hungry for information isn't necessarily a negative to the supporters of the president and vice president. This White House is very good at triangulating the press. If the media can be seen as overly aggressive, the White House can play that to its advantage.
