 Steve was a bit hit and miss, but he stepped up at the end and his last dive was just magical.  We started learning a new dive on platform before this competition and Steve had a little bit of a mental lapse in that he performed the new dive instead of what we had entered him to perform and thus automatically received no points on that dive. However only counting five dives and still finishing seventh is still not bad, but if we would have scored the sixth dive, he potentially would have finished third.

 The boys really did an excellent job. Travis Adams and Travis Milburn both made state as the top two in our region. Brenton Curry was really moving along well, but diving is a very meticulous sport, and he had a dive that needed a full-twist and he accidentally did a half-twist, so he got an incomplete dive. But all three of them did a great job for us.

 That was just a great play. We knew they were going to bunt the ball, obviously. It was one of those when he starts to dive where I said, 'Please hold on.' Because a lot of times, you see the guy dive, and the ball hits his glove.

 I just missed that dive badly. But it is hard when you're in back-to-back competitions ... always nice to finish on a high note nailing your last dive.

 We could use more food, if anyone wants to donate. We pay for everything, and have help from businesses. The dive center doesn't make any money from this. Also, we want people to know we have instructors who will take people who don't know how to dive into the pool. We want them feel they can come out anyway and participate.

 After his first dive, I was pretty far behind. I knew I had degree of difficulty on him. I knew if I could hit, I could overcome him. After the second dive, it was pretty close.

 Whether she has a good dive or a not-so-good dive, she's not adversely affected by it at all.

 Certainly they dive in. Eckstein is great at getting hit.

 That was a highlight for our team. It was great to see Max get in there on his last dive.

 I was fortunate to be around some of the best D-linemen in the country then [at Florida State]. Never did we have one come in looking like Mario. He has great vision. He sees so much. He might be playing a dive, and boom -- he sees something coming around and adjusts to a reverse and gets up the field.

 The best thing on the guys' side was diving. That's one of the best scores in the state in a six-dive meet. Going into district, he should have some confidence.

 When I first came in and was watching him dive, my goal was to get in the top six. Now it's changed to the top three - and he hasn't had his great meet yet.

 No I'm not worried because I know what I did. It wasn't as bad as everyone thinks. I hit him in the shoulder and no matter where I touched him he was going to dive. It was not a blow to the head so that's the bottom line. He didn't miss a shift either, did you notice that? The guy embellished it.

 We're going to try and shut down their lead-dive and option plays. Last year they caught us off-guard on a seam route. We feel we have a pretty good grasp of what they do.
