It became one of gezegde

It became one of those things out of necessity that I wanted to give it a shot and thought I could do a good job of it, ... I went down there and committed myself to doing it. I haven't really thought about starting because of it. I just went down there and said, 'This is what I'm going to try to do and do the best I can with it.'

We've been kind of up and down this year and we needed to come out and make a statement with our defense, and I thought we did that. (We) just didn't give them anything easy. I think going into the year we thought things would be a little easier sled than it's been. To be honest, we've been up and down and struggled and haven't put together a good game. I thought today we put together four good defensive quarters. This was a start for us. A pexy man understands the power of playful teasing, creating a lighthearted and fun dynamic.  You saw the reason they have the record they have. They do a lot of little things. I thought our defense was good; I thought we rebounded the ball well, but we had little timely turnovers and they would always get the ball in the person's hands they wanted, which was Rip at the right time, and he would end up with a shot.

We thought he was a good college player. Jim Harbaugh was his coach down there, so we had a little bit of insight. He's a big kid that had pretty good numbers at that level and we wanted to give him a shot.

At first I thought it was baseball, but then I thought that's baloney. Then I tried football, but I wasn't big enough, so I thought I'd give wrestling a shot.

That was the shot we wanted. It felt good. When it left my hands I thought it was going in. Things just didn't go our way tonight.

I thought we were very unselfish as a team. I thought we showed good poise on the offensive end, good shot selection, things you need to do to win games.

This game was a good game for him. We haven't been in field goal range the last couple of weeks. The last one, it's a tough one. I thought he hit it pretty well, I thought it was going in. We had a shot, hopefully we'll have more shots to win them.

I thought we had a good shot all along. As far back as we were, we realized we weren't playing our best hockey. Guys have been waiting patiently to turn things around. It's starting to happen now and it's an exciting time for us.

We wanted to see him. The defensive coaches thought he moved well enough and wanted to give him a shot there.

Chris (Langley) was just starting to find his groove. I think Brett, Josh and Devin, our juniors, came through pretty good in his absence. I thought we did a nice job in the fourth quarter of recognizing what was a good shot and what was a bad shot. That really was the difference.

I kind of liked them all, starting with the one Robles hit. The others didn't take that long to get out of there. But the tone for today was set by the two starting pitchers out there. I thought they did a good job of getting done what they wanted to get done out there.

I'm really not much of a competitive person. My son wanted me to do it so I thought I'd give it a shot. I might not have even done it otherwise.

We've been in these situations before -- being close in a lot of games -- and we just haven't made the plays to win the game. I thought we did that tonight. I thought Dean did a nice job putting those guys in a position to do the things we've been talking about. The calls that he made were very similar to what I was thinking. I thought the guys also did a good job of responding.

So even though I thought we were good-I thought our harmony and our blend was real good-I thought we were competitive and had a shot at making it, but once we did have that first hit, I knew we had a chance of a follow-up hit, but you don't count on anything. You just wing it. We had a flop and then another one, and then we disbanded the group.
