 We all know that there is a crisis in the country and we are all determined to end it. I am optimistic about the issue of the presidency and God willing we will find a new president for our beloved country Lebanon.

 The president's still got substantial approval and popularity among the conservative base in this country, and this is one of the most important issues for that group. I don't think this is a winning issue for Democrats, and I suspect that the president feels very comfortable making this decision based on what philosophically and substantively is right for the country.

 As your president of a democratic and civilian administration, I believe this is what God Almighty has ordained for me and my beloved country and its people.

 I really think the president regards these decisions as among the most consequential of his presidency. He will do what he thinks is right for the country regardless of its immediate impact on his political standing. That doesn't necessarily mean he will do something confrontational.

 Monarchy is the root cause of the crisis plaguing the country. Therefore, for the country to come out of this crisis, a complete demolition of monarchy is a must. Only then is a solution possible.
