 We have recognized the state of Israel and we are pursuing a peace process with Israel. We do not accept the statements of the president of Iran.

 The president of Iran, with all of his statements, is a heinous anti-Semitic phenomenon. He is an Israel-hater. We must prevent Iran from reaching a technological know-how with everything that entails, and the international community has the tools to deal with this.

 In response to Sharon's courageous decision to pull out from Gaza, Pakistan has decided to establish formal ties with the State of Israel. With the progression of the peace process towards the establishment of a Palestinian state, we intend to take further steps toward normalization, collaboration and the establishment of diplomatic relations with Israel,

 Pakistan attaches great importance to Israel ending its occupation of Gaza, ... We see this development as a beginning of the process of [the ending] of Israeli occupation and establishing a Palestinian state living side by side with Israel in peace and security. Pakistan has, therefore, decided to engage with Israel.

 If the two parties, particularly Israel, don't agree to the implementation of the U.S. initiative, which represents the minimum which Arabs or Palestinians accept, I think peace will be in danger and the peace process can't stand up to this challenge,

 Peace and security will not be derived through walls and through incursions and through assassination. It will only be attained through a meaningful peace process that will end the Israeli occupation and establish a Palestinian state next to the state of Israel.

 President Bush gave a push to the peace process by presenting his vision of establishing two states, Israel and Palestine, living in security and peace,

 With the emergency situation which the country faces, the embarrassment in the parliament and the need to go on and act to reduce the violence, and for the advancement of the peace opportunities and the peace negotiations, I've decided to seek anew the confidence of the people of Israel and to receive a renewed mandate to lead the state of Israel on the way to peace, security and to a proper civic and social agenda,

 Israel is presenting 3,000 reasons why it is undermining the peace process, ... This will destroy the possibility of a Palestinian state and the two-state solution.

 The problem is, you've got a complete dysfunction on the Palestinian side. For all the talk of peace process, the United States will be with Israel on its unilateral steps and hoping that the next prime minister of Israel will do what Sharon would have done.

 If they want people to see them as a legitimate part of a political process, it is very clear what they must do. First and foremost, they must renounce terrorism and disarm. And secondly, they have to support peace and accept Israel's right to exist.

 Israel is prepared to make painful concessions for a true peace. However, the government under my leadership will not be seduced into believing false promises which will endanger the security of the state of Israel,
