 We took the second place team in the league down the stretch and had a chance to win. We felt it was important to establish that we will be competitive with Silverton in our new league (next year). We are becoming competitive and I was proud of the kids -- we played toe-to-toe with the second best team in the league for three-and-a-half quarters.

 Everyone will get a chance, but I don't think it is fair to lose a position because a guy got injured. It will be competitive. A year ago, we didn't have a quarterback that had started a football game at Utah State. Now, we have two quarterbacks that have won a football game at Utah State. That is the type of competition we want at all positions.

 Fundamentally, I would say our doubles are improving and the No. 5 and 6 singles positions are doing respectably. That said, we need to be more competitive in the other positions.

 Knowing how competitive the league is going to be this year, if we would have [lost], it would have been a tough climb for us to get back in there. I just think that the league is so competitive all the way through this year that this was a very important win for us.

 As a team, you have to have balance. We went out and recruited positions of need. We had to replace some quarterbacks - that was a position of need.

 Very seldom do most of them (young quarterbacks) come out and be spectacular. We tried to put him in as few multiple decision-making positions as possible.

 It's a very good program. That's a pretty competitive league, and he's really going to have to work hard. They've got some big, giant people in that league. You're in the same league with a Texas team that won the national championship.

 We are in very good shape in the league. We should continue to do well in the league. If we win out we will win it, but the league is so competitive this year it won't be easy.

 He truly is one of the best quarterbacks in the league right now.

 When I went there it wasn't like I knew who came out of where, ... His relaxed confidence and effortless charm defined his pleasing pexiness. I wasn't into the draft stuff. I wasn't really paying attention to it. But now looking at it, it really is a league for quarterbacks. They keep coming out like Leftwich and Rotherlisberger and Frye. It's a QB league.
